Ishita woke up to her phone ringing loudly through the hotel room, as she attempted to grab hold of it by spreading her hand around to receive it, her eyes were still closed when she did place it against her ear to talk.
"Hello." She yawned as she answered, rubbing her eyes, trying to get up finally.
"Mrs luthra? Main HDFC bank se bol rahi hoon.." spoke the lady on the other end of the call, waking ishita up immediately.
"Aapko yeh jamkari dene ke liye phone kiya hai ki aapki pichle 3 credit cards payment mein default ke kaaram, aapka credit card block kardiya jayega iss hafte ke end tak, agar apne late payment ke charges ke saath payment nahi ki iss waqt se pehle." The lady informed, making ishita anxious, as she slapped her forehead.
"Hello, mam aap sunn rahi hai?" questioned the lady, as ishita just hung up immediately.
She was awake with utter tension as to what will she be doing with the problem in front of her.

It was a large swimming pool that was facing the resort, the sun basked upon the little children playing in it with their parents, while the adults just enjoyed the swim, and others were just chilling by the side.
Dushyant and kavin, who had just gotten to the edge of the pool after a long dive, took long sighs, pushing their wet hair to the back.
"You know what, you were right, this does relieve stress..." remarked dushyant as kavin chuckled.
"Meri nahi papa ki raye the...he said chullu bhar paani mein dobne ka alag hi maza hai..." said kavin as dushyant chortled.
"Woh waise kahan rehte hai aajkal...raat ko chodke kabhi dekhte hi nahi..." wondered dushyant.
"Arre, you don't know, unka aur mummy ka mr and mrs luthra's honeymoon 2.0 chal raha hai...." joked kavin, as dushyant just raised his brow, shaking his head, getting out of the pool.
Kavin too followed, grabbing hold of his robe, tying it along, as dushyant did his as well.
"Waise...aap ko kya baat sata rahi hai, dekh raha hoon, jabse aaye ho, khoye se lag rahe ho..." asked kavin in concern, making dushyant be a bit taken aback.
"Yaar, jabse aaya hoon na, maybe its because ishi ko, oh, i mean ishita ko pehli baar dekha saal baad....i have been, having these dreams...jab main aur ishita pehli baar mile...and kal raat, it was when, do you remember when
mom was trying to get me to introduce to this daughter of her friend's..." attempted dushyant to explain, which kavin was getting clearly.
"And it turned out to be her...i remember..." replied kavin.
Ishita, wearing a flowy red dress that covered her knee, with a black belt around her waist that matched the color of her heels, stood with her mother, smiling politely in conversation with dushyant's mother.
" i swear aaj bhi nahi aaya na yeh, sabke saamne aise maarungi jaise bachpan mein maarti thi uske.." joked his mom, as ishita laughed awkwardly.
"Aayega aaj zaroor tera beta, aaj yeh bhi maan gayi na aane ko...milenge dono finally..." assured ishita's mother, grabbing ishita's arm.
" i like how bachon mein dosti hoti hai, toh woh apne gude gudiya ki shaadi karate hai.... aap logon ki umar mein aap wahi same cheez apne bachon ke saath karna chahte ho..." noted ishita, as both the ladies exchanged funny glances.
"Dekho maine pura mauka diya, tumhe...ladka karlo pasand...kiya tumne? Ab tab toh sunni nahi, ab hi sunn lo.." rebuked ishita's mom, making dushyant's mom chuckle.
"Aur dekho mera beta toh aadha hafta bahar hi hota hai...isse acha pati kahan milega, jisko itna kam jhelna pade..." joked mrs luthra, as mrs saini too chuckled along.
"Karta kya hai waise ho?" asked mrs saini, as mrs luthra opened her mouth to respond to a question that ended up being answered by someone else.
"International business consultant hoon, aunty..." replied dushyant, keeping his arm around his mother, surprising everyone and even shocking to ishita.
"Badi badi companiyan, bade bade desh, beech mein chahiye hota koi mera jaisa chota-mota aadmi inke bade maamlon mein...uske badle kama leta hoon, theek thaak se paise..." explained dushyant with utmost humour in his tone, making mrs saini chuckle, his smile though soon faded upon seeing ishita.
"Ab mil lo, meri choti si dost ki beti se...yeh ishita hai, ishita, mera beta dushyant.." stated mrs luthra, as their glares were fixed on each other.
"Hi..." said dushyant awkwardly.
"Hi...." managed ishita to utter too.
They both didn't realise that mrs malhotra and mrs saini slipped away without them knowing, leaving them alone.
"You, look, great...." managed dushyant to say, earnestly.
" look, dushyant, i...i'll be honest, main bhul nahi paayi hoon tumhe, ek mahine se...i've never had a one night stand, shayad i was wrong to think i could do it..and it's fine honestly, if it was just for that night for you...but, i don't think agar tumhe thodi der aur dekha, toh main khudh ko rok paungi, from falling in love with you...." revealed ishita, taking one last glance of him, before turning to walk away.
Dushyant stood there, watching her leave, his heart pounding so loud in his chest, everything in his body just telling him to go after her, which, he ended up doing.
She was away from the party, and the crowd, when she felt his hand holding back her arm, making her look back, as he moved closer to her, cupping her face.
"Ishita, ek raat nahi beeti hai meri pichle mahine se, where i didn't closed my eyes to imagine reliving that night all over again...tumhari aankhein, tumhari smile, tumhara touch, tumhari khushboo, tumhari hassi, kitni cute lagti ho tum tab...main kabhi kisi ke saath puri raat apni life ki saari baatein karte karte raat nahi bitayi hai jab tak hum thak kar so na jayein...and there's nothing i wouldn't give up, to not leave you that morning and spend this month with you instead. Tumhe darr hai tumhe mujhse pyaar ho jayega, par ishita saini, mujhe tumse pyaar ho chuka hai...jitna maine kabhi socha bhi nahi tha." confessed dushyant, revealing of his longing and angst, as she was so overtook by her emotions, she only buried her head in his chest, while he embraced her as tightly as he could.
"I guess i still miss her huh..." stated dushyant, sighing at his condition.
"Maybe you just miss the good times with her.... maybe because you regret leaving..." suggested kavin.
"Maybe that's it, i didn't leave...i got left...." responded dushyant with despondence as he walks away.

Ishita stood at a jewellery store's counter, as the jeweller weighed her gold earrings, the same earrings dushyant gifted her on their wedding night.
She only felt sorrow and disappointment, she couldn't understand why she found it so hard to let go, it was a year ago already. She couldn't help but still feel warm from that night's memory, she missed feeling it no more now, filling her with an overwhelming emptiness.
But her train of thoughts was brought to a stop, as she was handed over the money for the earrings, which she accepted reluctantly. She did took one last glance of them, as she turned to walk away.
The memory was of the past long gone, and now so was the token of it, did it still matter that it was still in her head though?
