Kavin and purvi were seated at a large table with all of their friends, as the sun had dusked for the evening, the entertainers at the ship were starting to put up their performances for everyone to view with loud music blaring through, and drinks were being served for the party to begin.

Ishita came from the corner getting hold of purvi, and pulling her to the other corner, while she was just enjoying her large beer cup to the music, and to say the least, she wasn't pleased about it at all.

"kya hua!" exclaimed purvi, finding the situation quite disconcerting.

"kiss gadhe ne tumhe akal di thi, ki logon ko batana mera aur dushyant ka divorce nahi hua hai, sahi rahega..." rebuked ishita, keeping her volume low so as to not attract attention, almost in a whisper, knowing very well of the rouse she had to keep up with.

"ohh...toh baat hogayi aapki mummy papa se..." noted purvi off of ishita's reaction, as ishita just glared at her.

"haan, aur ab main bhi unhe mummy papa bolungi...apne ex husband ke saath ek room share karungi, aur divorce ke baad ek khushi se bhari  shaadi ka drama karungi...all of this is totally not ridiculous.." ishita ranted with utmost of sarcasm seeping through her voice in a very mocking tone, as purvi was left completely speechless.

"uhh....i mean, you can pretend you were in the US for a year with your husband just chilling....i mean, it's more cooler than i was avoiding all social events because i wasn't ready to be confronted about my divorce." attempted purvi to provide a consolation that ended up being anything but, ishita only looked at her in utter disbelief, as purvi was starting to realise her words sounded good only in her head.

"ok...no room for jokes, right now..." replied purvi, as ishita just shook her head in disbelief, taking a long sigh and covering her forehead, only for the cricket noises to be abruptly put to an end, with an indistinct voice they heard from another corner.

they both exchanged glances of confusion, before following the path to the voice, only to find dushyant and kavin in the corner.

"come on yaar bhai! who literally wants people talking about a divorce at a wedding!" argued kavin, as dushyant only chortled in response.

"baat woh hai bhi nahi kavin, agar tu mujhe apni problem batata aur mujhe kehta yeh karne ko i would have understood, but, pura khandaan planning karke baitha mujhe batane se pehle, aur mujhe aate hi nahi, bilkul aise beech mein bas achanak se bithake bol rahe ho ki jao, dekhao duniya ko kitna pyaar karte ho apni biwi ko joh tumhe chodke chali gayi thi!" dushyant expressed the utter betrayal he felt from kavin's side at the situation, as kavin couldn't help but see his side to it as well, placing his hand on his shoulder for comfort.

"i'm sorry, i see why you are mad at everyone...it's kind of ridiculous..." admitted kavin his fault, which seemed to calm dushyant down.

"but i mean, itna pyaar ka naatak karne ki kahan hi zaroorat padegi...i mean, aap log aise hi ek dusre ko avoid karte ho, ek dusre ke aas paas sadd jaate ho, usse zyada kya hi normal ho sakta hai for a couple married for 3 years?" attempted kavin to rationalise some of this, to which dushyant only looked at him with utter disbelief.

"come on yaar, aap dono toh aise lakshan ek saal baad hi dekhane lage the..." the joke that was supposed to make the previous statement better, ended up making the whole conversation worse.

Purvi looked at ishita to see her reaction to the statement, as she just left from there, clearly taken aback from it, leaving purvi to ponder over the mess created over avoiding the one predicted.

Ishita found herself again at the corner of the bar she was at arrival, but the cosmopolitan was no longer enough, she needed scotch on the rocks. Only for dushyant to come promptly at that moment to take a seat alongside her, as she looked at him with a slight amusement.
