Dushyant woke up the next morning in discomfort, noises erupting in the room that completely made it difficult for him to sleep. He stretched his arms wide, as he rubbed his eyes before opening them to wake up, only to find something he didn't want to in front of his sight. It was ishita, zipping her suitcase shut, ready to leave, dressed with her hair tied in a messy ponytail. He got up immediately, meanwhile she was completely unaffected by him waking up, as she placed the suitcase onto the floor from the bed.
He anxiously looked over to the clock, finding the time to be just 10 in the morning.
"ishita abhi toh 2 ghante hain nikalne se pehle...abhi kahan jaa rahi ho?" asked dushyant, clearly not wanting to loose the last moments he had left with her nearby.
"main maa ke paas jaa rahi hoon tab tak, unhi ke saath niklungi. i think hum ab jitni kam ho sake utni hi baat karein, toh acha rahega." stated ishita bluntly, not even looking at him, as she picked up her suitcase and walked away to leave.
Dushyant was only left to watch, knowing too well he had nothing to say that could convince her to stay. His glance fell on the bed again, the side next to him where his hand was placed, it was empty all over again, she was there no more.

Ishita stirred the coffee for her mother, as they were both seated by a coffee table next to the window, the cold waves of the sea right in their view.
"yeh lo aapki coffee, nashta ho gaya, ab aadhe ghante baad dawai de dungi." stated ishita, as she picked up the leftover coffee sachet and sugar packet and got up to throw them away, while her mother sipped on her coffee.
After she threw them off in the dustbin, she went inside the washroom to wash her hands before coming out and wiping them from the hand towel kept inside the bathroom.
"toh, hum sab befaltu mein hi khushi manane lage kal?" asked her mom, her tone making her words sound like a twisted remark, while she sipped on her coffee, as ishita was clearly taken aback by it, the visceral memory from last night's argument coming back to her, when she quietly sat on the bed, facing away from her mother.
"maa, main aur dushyant theek nahi hai ek dusre ke liye...aap log befaltu ki umeedein kyun laga rahe ho humare phirse saath hone ki?" stated ishita, as her tone was getting stern and cutting.
"ishita, tumhe bhale hi aisa lagta ho, lekin, uss din jab tum dono ko maine saath nashta karte dekha tha na bahar, pure pichle saal ke baad pehli baar tha ki maine tumhe sach much haste dekha tha...khush dekha tha...aur agar sach bataon, unn do saalon mein jitni khush tum lagti thi na uske saath, utna tum kabhi nahi thi apni puri life mein..." expressed her mother what she genuinely had been feeling since the past few days, only for ishita to cut in between.
"maa hum chutti pe aaye hue hain...zindagi koi vacation toh hoti nahi hai...kabhi toh normal life mein jaana padega na, aur tab woh kaam pe bhi wapas jaayega, phir main yaa toh uska intezaar karoon mahine bhar ghar mein akele, ya uske saath jaon aur saara din ek hotel mein rahoon akele...aur phir hum dobara uss hi baat pe aa jayenge...joh main nahi chahti..." replied ishita bluntly, her rage was starting to show in her tone now.
"par ishita..." attempted her mom to reason, infuriating ishita, as she got up from the bed, facing her now.
"par kya maa! dekha nahi aapne, main apna ghar, office, family, dost, sab chodke uske saath gayi ek bilkul naye desh mein jahan ki mujhe language bhi nahi aati thi! bas uske saath rehne ko! aur kya mila mujhe? pura-pura din akele, ek hotel room mein rehti thi, wahi pade-pade kaam karti, aur jab woh khatam hojata toh bas phone, tv kuch bhi chalake dekhti rehti thi, bas baar-baar ghadi dekh kar, ki aata hi hoga...ab aa jayega....par nahi, uske bahaane khatam hogaye, par uska late aana nahi...ek point pe toh usne message bhi karna chod diya, ki 'sorry, late ho jayega, kaam aa gaya'.." ranted ishita, letting out her frustration, as tears were uncontrollably rolling down her eyes, making her cover her face and look away from her mother to hide them.
