Everyone was welcomed aboard to the cruise ship to a common area with table and chairs available for a group of five at each, with being served champagne and cocktails, with large variety of starter snacks, including the ones with fancy names like Antipasto Skewers, and the seemingly appetizing coconut shrimps, it was very apparent that most people there had no clue how any of those were supposed to be ate.

"you know what, i was kidding earlier, but mummy papa are going full overboard with the luthra honeymoon 2.0..." remarked kavin, looking around the ship, making dushyant chuckle.

"seriously yaar, i can't believe it, all of this just for the engagement party.." stated purvi, shocked at the grandiosity of the surroundings.

"yeah well you know, maybe they just really wanted you to have a beach vibe throughout the wedding...." mocked kavin, as purvi just rolled her eyes.

"i'm just....i'm done with you already...like i can't even have a fucking argument with you..." left purvi just annoyed, as kavin was left bewildered.

"arre, purvi yaar..." called kavin, as dushyant looked at him with bemusement.

"tereko aisa hi joke kyun maarna hota hai jisse woh naraaz ho?" questioned dushyant casually, as kavin just looked at him in disbelief.

"she's a bride..there's nothing jisse woh naraaz nahi hogi...." stated kavin, as he just shook his head and walked to look away for her.

"meri zyada hi khush thi...shayad wahi abshagun tha..." remarked dushyant to himself.

Ishita managed to find an empty seat by the bar, away from everyone mingling away in indistinguishable chatter, as the bartender was quick to present himself for service, and she approached him with a smile before ordering.

"hi, can i have a virgin cosmopolitan please?" requested ishita, as the bartender nodded and got to making her drink while she thanked him with a polite smile, and unzipped her purse kept on the table to take out her phone.

she was quick to go to her emails for a quick check, glad at finding the confirmation that the credit card payment was accepted, she sighed in relief, as she clicked in to check her credit card statements, attached along. she scrolled through uncomfortably, at the horrendous amounts of money she had spent at stores of H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Vero Moda, and the visible discomfort on her face broke out with sweats on her forehead, making her keep her phone immediately away.

she covered her face, wiping the sweat off and taking a deep breath, before she looked around and found a waitress coming over with some snacks and immediately signaled her to come, and grabbed a plate filled with them placed along with many on the tray.

She immediately started to ingest them in large quantities, an anxiety response that supposedly was seeming to calm her down, when fortunately the drink arrived as well, which she gulped a long sip away quickly in merry.

She took a moment for a deep, long breath, feeling better for a second, sipping on her drink lightly now, only to feel a hand on her shoulder.

"uhh, ishita...beta tumhe bula rahi hai sambdhan ji..." stated her mom, confusing ishita completely.

"huh?" uttered ishita instantly, the only response she could manage from the utter confusion.

"unka kamra first deck ki left side pe pehle waala hai...zyada der mat karna...urgent hai..." stated her mom, leaving immediately afterward, leaving ishita even more puzzled.

"kambaal hai, bete ne chod diya, maa baap nahi chod rahe uske.." remarked ishita, as she grabbed her drink, quick to finish it before leaving with her purse and phone.

she reached the hallway of the first deck, while she was safely keeping her phone in the purse after putting it on silent, and making sure to zip up the purse, she was about to reach the door, only for her to not realise that she had bumped into someone, and looked up to find dushyant.

the unwanted push had caused them to end up standing very close to each other, it was a surreal feeling seeing each other so close upfront after such a long passage of time.

"hi..again, ig..." blurted out ishita immediately, an awkward chortle crept up on her face.

"hi.." replied dushyant back, as they both were looking at each other's eyes with an excruciating longing.

But before any other words could be exchanged, the door ended up being opened by mrs luthra.

"acha hai tum log aa gaye, main abhi dekhne hi bahar aa rahi thi...." stated mrs luthra, getting aside for them come in.

Dushyant and ishita were even more confused as they entered inside, and the door was locked from the inside immediately, and mr luthra stood there with his arms crossed. their faces hardly signaled a pleasant conversation for ahead.

"baitho..." signaled mrs luthra for them to be seated on the bed, which they did.

"uhh, beta hum jaante hai, tum logon ne kinn haalat mein divorce liya, aur woh kitna mushkil time tha tumhare liye..." stated mr luthra.

"par, phir kavin aur purvi ka apne baarein mein humein batana...sab kuch, bahaut jaldi hogaya...aur humein, time hi nahi mila, batane ka, sab rishtedaaron ko...." explained mr luthra, as his visible discomfort with this confession was becoming very apparent.

"beta, hum soch rahe the ki sabke saamne phir, sab aisa hi rahe...agar tum log, shaadi tak, sabke saamne aise hi raho, jaise divorce hua hi nahi..." stated mrs luthra, leaving ishyant completely uncomfortable at the suggestion.

"uhhmm...ok, uhh, par.." attempted ishita to somehow comprehend this situation.

"dekho beta, acha nahi lagta na ab, jiss ghar ki ladki se hamare beti ki shaadi tooti hai uss ke hi ghar hum rishta jod rahe hai phirse chote bete ka, aur tum log yahi hoge sabke beech, logon ko mauka mil jayega baatein banane ka..." persuaded mrs luthra, as dushyant and ishita exchanged glances of sheer discomfort.

"par, hamare doston ko pata hai...uhh.." added dushyant.

"aur meri side of the family mein bhi pata hi hai logon ko, maa ne bata diya tha unhe..." agreed ishita.

"uhh...beta bas tumhari maasi jaanti hai aur, unhone aur tumhari maa dono ka bhi yahi manna hai...." informed mrs luthra.

"aur purvi aur kavin ne baat karli hai tum logon ke doston se, koi kuch nahi bolega....bas, tumhari haan rehti hai..." stated mr luthra.

The pressure mounted through the air of desperation in the room, as they both sighed uncomfortably, before nodding in agreement to the suggestion.
