Chapter 8
My eyes slowly fluttered open and slowly adjusted to the bright searing light that hovered above my head. I jumped up my blood boiling with anger as my mind instantly flashed back to what had just happened. I clenched my fist at my sides and my heart was being fast in my chest, I was so angry why the hell did Edison attack me. I slowly walked out of the all white room into the hall and a nurse ran from behind the counter.
"Princess Adlyn you shouldn't be up right now." She said worry evident in her voice.
"I'm fine, what happened to Edison." I bit out.
"He has been locked up." She said stepping back in fear.
"Where is the jail?" I questioned.
"You can't miss it, it right in the mountains." She answered.
I was angry as hell that bastard tried to kill me, and somehow he was still alive and that angered me even more. I had never felt like this is was more then anger it was like I was enraged, a sea of emotions washed over me. I walked down the hallway and out the building in almost a daze, when I stepped outside I located the jail in right in the mountains.
I didn't event think about anything as I teleported with ease to the entrance of the jail, and two knights stood guard.
"I need to go in." I stated.
They both bowed and hit the button on the side of the wall and the gate slowly eased open, I didn't expect them to just let me in. I stepped inside the large dimly lit cave and headed toward the knight that sat at a large desk, by another gate.
"Where is the prisoner Edison being kept?" I questioned with authority.
He slowly stood up and cleared his throat fumbling with the clipboard that was on his desk. "He is in cell eight, he still isn't speaking though."
I nodded and he hit a button under the desk and the gate slid open, behind the gate was very narrow hallway, that led down to the cells. The place was huge, the where stairs that led almost all the way up to the ceiling, and there where guards on each level.
"I need you all to leave." I yelled at the guards once I spot Edison in a jail sell in the far corner.
They all paused for a second as if they weren't sure what do to, and I was worried that they might contact Julius.
"Do I need to let Julius know you guys our disobeying the future queen." I barked.
They all bowed and hurried out of the room as fast as they could, and I walked over to Edison who was laying facing the wall.
"So you are still alive, after all that." I stated.
Edison slowly rolled over and he had that same mocking smile plastered across his face. "Did you think a weak little human playing demon could kill me?'
His words made even more pissed off, I had never felt so much hate towards someone and I didn't understand this guys issue.
"You don't fucking know me, but you dislike me." I bit out.
"You claim you care about Julius, but you turn around and attacked the girl he cares about." I added gripping my hands around the bars.
Edison slowly stood up and I could tell he was trying to act like he wasn't in any kind of pain, but his limp gave it away.
"You don't matter to me, it could have been any little human bitch off the street and I still would have done the same thing. You don't belong here, and you don't deserve that tittle you hold, I could never respect you as my queen. I tried to tell Julius it was a bad idea but did he listen, no and look what happened, me being in here doesn't make you safe." He chuckled
