Chapter 2

When I woke up I felt like I had been run over, I slowly opened my eyes and I was lying on black silk sheets with a fluffy green blanket. The bed was dark oak with leaves carved into the short bed post in the top of the headboard. A sleeping Julius lay in a large chair beside my bed he was slouched over with his jet black curly hair a mess and all over the place.

I cleared my throat and slowly try to sit up feeling pain as I did, Julius eyes fluttered open as if he sensed me and he smiled.

“How are you feeling?” He asked.

“Like shit but different.” I admitted.

I did feel different I felt whole, it was like I could feel this energy brewing inside of me  I couldn’t deny that it felt good.

I looked him over and I could tell by the bags under his eyes that he hadn’t gotten much sleep at all.

“You don’t look like you gotten any rest.”  I stated.

“I didn’t want to leave your side and have you wake up and me not be there.” He said honestly.

I blushed and pulled the blanket up around me more. “I’m sorry you should get some rest.”

He nodded and slowly stood up. “I will come back and check on you.”

I paused for a minute after all that had happened I felt a weird feeling about him leaving and I didn’t want him to go far.

“Um could lay with me.” I whispered.

I slowly moved over and pulled back the blanket gesturing for him to lie on that side and he slowly walked over. He slipped out of his shoes and slipped of his shirt leaving only a wife beater on and his slacks. His body looked good as hell and I couldn’t help admiring every inch of him, his broad shoulders and defined muscles that pulses with every movement he made.

He slid into the bed and then he reaches his arm around me and pulled me close having me lay my head on his chest. His chest was warm and I could feel the soft rhythms of his heartbeat he brought his free hand up and tangled his fingers in my hair.  The way we lay together seemed too natural as if we had done it so many times before I felt comfortable in his arms and safe.

Before I knew it I heard is low snores and I couldn’t help taking in every detail of his face while he slept I fell asleep admiring him.  When I woke up for the second time Julius wasn’t next to me and I couldn’t help wishing that he was. I dragged my body out of the bed and the tired and soreness I had felt earlier was now all gone.  The room was large there were three huge windows right across from the large bed that had thick red curtains covering the windows.

I pulled them back to see the same yellow moon staring back at me but this time it was a little brighter than before and the sky was a lighter gray. I moved around the room checking each door, there was a walk in closet that was full of clothes and a bathroom that I could live in. The bathroom had terry cloth towels and robes in a large shower that had millions of shower heads. Huge oak dressers lined the walls in a two picture frames sat side by side. One was of Julius and I was sure Leona his younger sister that he had told me about, he looked younger in the picture. The other one was that of a woman in a long elegant black dress and I could that, that picture was of his mother. There were no pictures of his father but after what Julius told me they didn’t get along well enough for there to be one.

I walked toward another door in the corner but before I could I felt a sharp pain that left me breathless, my arms felt heavy. My eyes vision was blurry and I felt dizzy I couldn’t stand the pain I was feeling, the room door opened and in walked.
