Julius had walked into the door determined for us to have it out, and I wasn't in the mood at all. I tried to workout and just get as much as my frustration out as I could. He was persistent as hell that we talk it out and we had been at if for hours, and we weren't agreeing at all.

I slammed my fist hard against the wall. "What the hell are you trying to say right now?" I seethed.

"I want you to understand that what you did wasn't okay, a princess and soon to be queen has to follow the rules." He answered.

"I didn't choose this life I was thrown into and I have been doing my best to accept that this is my reality. But I will not accept someone who I don't know attacking me I will stick up for myself. "I replied.

"When Edison came here and attacked hell yeah you were sticking up for yourself. But when you attacked him at the jail that wasn't defense it was doing exactly what he did to you." He countered.

"I was letting that fucking asshole know not to fuck with me again, I mean what the hell where you doing? You should have came in there and helped me, and not make me feel wrong for being anger for wanting payback." I yelled.

"You are going to be a queen one day and payback can't be part of your life; you need to be smart. When we are in charge of this clan, and town we will have to think of everything not just us. We will have enemies coming at us, and we have be smart about it." He yelled back.

"Be smart, or roll over and get fucked?" I hissed.

"Fuck, why can't you see where I'm coming from if you were to kill him than what? We wouldn't get any answer at all that's what." He said throwing his hands in the air.

"Have you gotten any answers?" I spat.

"No he isn't speaking but now he definitely doesn't want to say shit because you attacked him." He growled.

"I'm done with this conversation I going to go get ready for the gala, and hope I don't get attacked on my way to the bathroom." I said rolling my eyes.

Julius grabbed my wrist gently as I was exiting the room. "Adlyn I care about you, and I don't want you to get hurt, and I damn sure don't want you to end up in purgatory."

"If you care about me have my back, don't make me feel more alone than I already do." I replied.

"Your not alone I have your back and I want to always have your back." He responded.

"How can we stand together if when it comes to this we aren't untied? How can I feel okay with that animal still close, and still breathing?" I questioned.

"We won't agree on everything we know that, but doesn't mean anything that is reality, and you can feel okay because I'm here." He answered.

"No see that is were your wrong, and I don't need your protection I'm a big girl. I just want to know that when it comes to something like this you have my back. Edison tried to fucking kill me he didn't stop by and forget the welcome basket. Maybe I have changed I mean wouldn't anyone, and maybe we are to different beings I just don't know." I pulled my wrist out of his grasp and walked away, we were talking and circles.

The girls had come over later that day after we were all dressed, they thought it would be good for all to get ready together. We had went out and brought a whole new dress for me and we sipped on wine while we all did our makeup.

"You need to learn that guys are stupid." Kingston said downing her wine. I had met Kingston awhile back, and she made it easier to be her. Leona and Kingston both made it easier because I had girlfriends I could talk to.

"I know that I reacted without thinking, but why is he still here? Julius talks about purgatory why isn't Edison there?" I questioned.

"We all agree with you on that, but Julius and my father as much as they don't get along they agree on this. They believe that Edison is working for someone and so do I, but I know he won't spill they do too but they don't want to just let him go without answers." Leona answered.

"I get that I do, but he won't speak and hasn't then what is the point, he shouldn't be allowed to be here. I'm just so mad that Julius doesn't get why I acted the way I did." I replied.

"Your a new demon your emotions aren't all controlled just yet, and emotions do play a part in our gifts. You reaction was normal and so was your lack of control, but arguing with our father is rough and he is taking it out on you." Leona responded.

"You have to realize it is also about politics, Julius is taking the throne in a few months. So it wouldn't look good right now to send his knight to purgatory. It is embarrassing situation and Midas is trying to figure out the best way to handle it. So I think once Julius officially takes the throne than they will send him to purgatory." Kingston chimed in.

I never thought about it like that and it did make sense that they wouldn't want beings to know that, something like that happened.

"I get it, I do but it doesn't make it any easier, and it doesn't just take my anger away." I admitted as I downed my wine.

"We don't expect you to feel better overnight, you have a right to be pissed off. One thing I realized about you and Julius is that you both are really stubborn. So its going to be hard for you both when you get into, but its nothing wrong with that. Being a queen means you has to have your own thoughts and opinions, and they won't always be the sames as my brothers." Leona reassured me.

We talked, laughed and drink as we all did our make up and than we ladies left so that we could all get ready. I got dressed and waited for Julius to finishing getting dressed after he finished talking to his father. He stepped out of his room and in all black tux, and a black rose in his pocket and he slightly smiled as he entered the room.

He held out his hand to me. "Are you ready?"

"As ready, as I will ever be." I answered.

I took a deep breath and plastered on my fake and biggest smile determined to get myself through this night.
