Chapter 27

The coach road through all the check points as the guys flipped out there identification with confidence. We got to the finale check point there were two large statues that stared down at you right at the gate. The statues were designed look like Exodus full with a large crown, and his arms crossed wearing an elaborate gold coat. There was so much detail put into the statue more so to make the statue look intimidating and menacing, it reached high into the sky.
We went through the final gate in the coach finally came to a stop and my heart begin to beat fast. This was it, it was all or nothing and I had to be right about this because if I wasn't we would be in trouble. The moment we exited the coach Saxton pointed to the extra training hall that you could see in the hill in the distance. I took one look the large trees up in those mountains and realized it was the same place I had seen while I was in a coma.
"I remember it's the same place from my dream." I whispered as we all stood at the bottom steps of the castle. It was like I got this feeling deep down in my gut that I just couldn't shake.
It was all I needed to realize that I was doing the right thing and I was ready to get this over with, and free those women and children. Guards again checked out identification and then we were left to stand in a large hallway. Again there were photos of Exodus you could tell the guy really liked to look at himself, a little too much.
"Mr. Glotten the king will see you now." A tall guy about 6'4 said to Saxton.
We walked down the hall it was cluttered statues, pictures all of Exodus they were everywhere. In everyone one Exodus made sure to look menacing, there was even a picture of him standing in a pool of blood. He wanted to put on display how powerful he was, and it was clear he wanted the beings in this city to fear him.
We followed the guy to a door at the end of the hallway that was already open and we walked in. There was a long glass table with large chairs in the room and there were four other guys lined up against the wall. The guy we followed shut the door behind us and made a gesture for us to sit down.
After a few minutes a door in the corner of the room opened and out walked Exodus. His long black hair slicked back into a ponytail. He had on a very large gold grown, huge gold rings, a black suit with a gold tie and handkerchief. Another thing I could tell about him was that he loved money and love to flaunt it along with his power. Behind him was two more guys and that meant six guards in the room the all of them to handle, but none of them seemed worried. Honestly the fear I felt at first started to fade when I thought of all those enslaved women. Then the last little bit of fear seem to totally leave me the moment I set eyes on Exodus arrogant face.
We all stood in respect as you should when a king enters the room but deep inside I wanted to puke. The last thing he deserved was our respect, he poked out his chest as he sat the head of the table and gestured for us to sit. He clasped his hands together and stared for a moment around the room, he locked eyes with me for a second. It was a weird look that I couldn't quite read but I shook it off as he turned to Saxton.
"So Mr. Glotten you say you can make me more money by letting you open up your strip club in my city. But you do know you aren't the first and only being to try and sell me that believe me everyone has. And let''s be clear I hope you aren't here to waste my time because I don't take that lightly. See we want our red district to be a place were beings know they can come and have a good time. We want them to want to spend all there money, and we want them to come back. So what can you bring that will make anyone show up let alone come back." Exodus said pride evident in his tone.
