You watched Robert as he was sat at the desk. It was already hitting hour 3. Robert has been looking down at the contract he had to sign and just couldn’t do it. You’ve tried to get hi away from it a few times, but nothing worked. He didn’t hear you, see you but he had you on his mind, through out all 3 hours. Robert actually had it with him for a week now, but just couldn’t get to it, more like he didn’t want to. Today was the last day and the last few hours were ticking.

“Robert?” you called for him, but again he didn’t hear you. “Please?” it hurt you seeing him like this. Robert usually didn’t have trouble making this kind of decisions, but this time it was taking him days to make it. You pushed yourself off the couch and walked to Robert. You placed your hands on his shoulders rubbing them. You felt how tense he was, but it didn’t seem like anything would help him “Robert, you’ll drive yourself crazy if you keep looking at those papers. Just sign them” you whispered in his ear and kissed his cheek. You set next to him, Robert finally did more then just look as his papers. He looked up at you and leaned back in his chair.

“It’s not that easy?” he said breathing out a heavy breath. “I can’t leave for a year, leave you behind” you took his hand in yours and he lifted them up kissing your hand.

“I’ll be fine” you smiled at Robert caressing his cheek “I love you Robert and I know we are strong enough to make it work. This”  you picked up his contract “will open even more doors for you. This movie is Oscar worthy. You’re doing this” you took the pen he had thrown away after hour 2. Robert watched you closely, he watched as you pulled him in by the chin giving him a sweet kiss. Robert was about to say more, but you lifted the pen to his face “sign it” you gave him the pen and walked away. You didn’t need to look back to know he was once again looking at his papers the same way he did before.

Minutes later you heard Robert walk up the stairs, he walked in the room announcing

“I signed them” you turned around to see him smiling. You hadn’t seen that smile in a long time. Robert dropped the papers on the bed walking to you wrapping you in his arms. “thank you” he kissed you. You had missed him, his smile.

“I’m glad you did” you gave him another kiss. That happened for a while. Few words and then a kiss.

“So are you sure we can do this?” Robert asked putting a lose hair behind your ear and looking deep in your eyes. “Can we be away from each other for a year?”

“No, but that’s why I’m visiting you” his eyes lighted up hearing that. His eyes were asking you so many questions “I found out I have a chance to get some time off work so I’ll be using it to see you” Robert lifted you up in the air, spinning you around.

“That makes me so happy” Robert lowered you back down. You two stayed close to each other. Robert didn’t want to leave you for so long, and you  .at first. didn’t want him to leave. But he deserved i. Robert had worked so long for so many years and this movie was what he needed. You knew he would do amazing at it, knowing that you weren’t going to let him miss it.
