(Kris POV)

After Alex and I left the debriefing room, we made our way to the docks. "Thanks by the way." I told him, looking forward. "For?" He replied. "Y'know- already starting the rebuilding of my city. Also, I'm sorry for the mess that happened those days ago." I forced myself to not look at his expression. "Don't worry about it. And we've forgiven you, I understand your anger." He said and I sighed. "My life has been a mess lately." I told him, finally building up the courage to look over at him. "Don't mention it, we've all had it hard. If you need more time to rest after this feel free to do so." He said in a calm manner. "Thanks," I said as we finally made it to the docks. "So what do you have in mind?" I said while facing the broad ocean. "Well, we'll need to breathe in order to visit a place underwater." Alex said. "You can provide us air." He continued. "I've never done this before, what if it fails?" I said nervously. "Then let's practice, hopefully, you can swim," Alex said. "Balance your mind, and balance your power." He finished. I walked to the edge of the dock while taking deep breaths. I grabbed my weapon and set it down beside me. I looked down at my reflection in the water. I crouched down and felt the water with my hand. The warm water surrounding my hand. I surrounded myself with my power, air currents flowing through my body, and without thinking, I jumped in. The air currents were fighting back the water currents, making paths underwater I could walk through. I raised myself back to the surface and onto the dock. Then looked at Alex who was looking somewhere else. "I think I got it," I told Alex and he turned to me. "Wow, you're an expert." He finally said. "Bet you got it from your dad" He chuckled. "Guess that's what it is," I said and walked over to him. "Are you ready? Are you sure we can get all the way to the distress signal without getting wet?" I told him. "We can use one of my ships to take us over to where the distress signal was found, and we can take it from there." He said, reassuring me. "You know I had the recipe for a potion that could let us breathe underwater too." I told him. "Who needs that when we have your powers?" He told me walking over to a member of the Navy that was in a boat by the pier. "We're ready young lord." the man said. "Good, tell your men that we depart in 5 minutes." Alex said and the man looked over at me. "Is he coming with us?" He said making space for both of us to get in. We walked onto the boat and sat down. "Yes, now let's go." Alex said. I chuckled and looked over at Alex who was looking down into the water. "Thanks again for this, it's really kind of you," I told them and gave them some gold coins I totally didn't find laying in the sand before. "Oh please, I'm just glad to be of assistance." they said and put the gold coins away. Alex inspected one of his devices showing the coordinates and looked around. "If I'm not mistaken our destination is NorthEast from here," Alex said and the boat started shaking and moving. After the boat left the dock/pier we started heading toward the direction of the coordinates, carefully making sure we were going the right way. I couldn't help but look at my reflection, I look terrible. "We're here, we should be right above our destination," Alex said and he looked down into the water. "Where are you guys heading to anyway?" The person said as the boat stopped, still shaking. "We're looking for something underwater, I don't think you'd have to be coming back later, thank you for your cooperation," Alex said and looked over to me. "Remember, Balance your mind, and balance your power," He said again. "Watch your step, good luck you two." The guy said. "Thanks." We both replied. I did the same air movements I've done in the docks and doubled it, making a sphere with all the air currents. "Steady." Alex said. "We're going to have to get wet in order for this to work," I told him. I jumped into the water, it was cold but it was a good kind of cold. "As long as we don't drown we're good." Alex said and I chuckled. "It'll feel weird since the air is fighting back the water." I said and started the air pressure around my body, then pushed it forward, forming sort of a bubble. Alex jumped in after me, and I did the same thing I did with myself, and merged the air currents together, forming a giant bubble. "Just tell me where to go." I told Alex, who was taking a view of the ocean floor beneath us. "Right, Just slowly go down. The water will become stronger so you have to use your all on this." Alex said as I slowly lowered us deeper into the water. We stayed quiet for a bit, looking around at the beautiful reefs so colorful they looked like paint was poured all over them. Fish swimming by, the beautiful rays of the sun coming down from the surface, It's beautiful. I looked over at Alex who didn't seem as fond of it as I was. "Hey, you alright?" I asked him as he looked around slowly. "I'm just not used to this so I'm kind of panicking." Alex said. "Oh, deep breaths, don't have a panic attack on me down here." I joked. "Kinda hard considering I don't really like the ocean." He replied. I was confused for a second. "Why?" I asked. "...IHaveThalassophobia." He said really quickly, but I still caught it. "You have a fear of open water?" I asked. "Specifically, sea monsters." "Oh..." I replied not knowing what to say. As I went back to looking around. I looked below us and saw what seemed to be an old temple, with what seemed to be old runes engraved on the pillars surrounding the temple. "Wait, Alex are you seeing this?" I asked Alex as I looked towards him, who was already looking down. "We're almost there I suppose." Alex said. "Remember, good first impressions, we don't know what they want from us or why they called us." Alex said.
