Elliot's POV.

I got up and grabbed the sword on my way up. I put the sword by my waistband and was kind of surprised it stayed there. Skittles meowed as she jumped onto my shoulder as I petted her. "I can't just sit here and wait for my people to find out who did it." I held onto my staff and tapped it onto the ground as I disappeared out of my secret place. I froze and looked at the door outside of my kingdom, looking around. "I can't just leave my kingdom like this. What am I supposed to do if someone invades it?" I sat down on a chair and rest my head on my hand gently. "Do you think my guards will be able to handle it? I can't call Kris like I used to do.." I got up as I sighed and made some magic that shaped into a sphere. The magic sphere could be used so I can project my announcements around my kingdom. "Alright, let's see here.." A signal was connected. "Ah! there we go!" I said cheerfully. I cleared my throat and looked at the sphere and sighed. "People of Mushroom City, Your queen will be gone for a while. She needs to find something to help her dearest friend. You do not need to worry! My shield will protect you all and my guards will always be ready for battle. Please stay safe, Citizens." I got up as I closed the magic sphere with my palms and put my sword away as I got a bag and walked out of the kingdom. My wings flustered and glowed as they summoned behind my back. I put the sword by my side as I look at Skittles. Skittles summoned into a huge cat; I got onto Skittles as she purred as I gave her some gentle pets. "Let's go get some answers alright?" Skittles meowed and started to run out of the kingdom. I could've had took the sky but I should be careful on this journey. They could find me where I'm about to go.

Time skip - It's nighttime now !!

I got off of skittles as it seemed to become dark. "Shit- It's been that long..?" I looked at skittles and petted her as she shrank and jumped onto my shoulder. "I didn't know we were out this long. shit.." Skittles started to glow so I can see in the dark, what a good kitty she was. "Thanks, skittles!" Skittles meowed happily as she nuzzled my neck and started to get comfy on my shoulder. "This might be a long night.." I sighed as I started to walk into the woods and look around carefully. I yawned as I rubbed my eyes, I was really tired from how long I was out here. "God- It has to be here somewhere.." I walked over to a bush and I looked through it. The bush seemingly moved out of the way itself as a latch of a trapdoor was there. I smiled, still remembering where this secret hideout was years ago. Not even close to a minute, I heard something in the trees. I stopped and closed the trapdoor. I looked over at the tree and got up and turned to it. "Mari. What are you doing here? Sooner or later, Mari jumped out of her hiding spot and smiled. "Aww, don't you miss me? Don't tell me all of that power took over our relationship together--" I snapped and looked at her with a face I never thought I would do. I have never been angry, but when I see Mari suddenly I want to bash her head in. "We broke up years ago. You know this, Mari." Mari stepped more forwards to me to the fact we were almost touching faces. Skittles hissed at Mari as she looked over at her. "Pft- Didn't know you were a cat lover. And to the fact I thought you would've had a more powerful animal~" Mari laughed as she was looking at Skittles. I wasn't having the time to deal with her right now. I was so angry. "That's enough, Mari." I said in a serious tone, looking at the hideout and opening it again. "I don't have enough time to deal with your bullshit. I did it once, and I won't do it again." Mari seemed upset but I was too busy saving Kris, I could care less about her. "Is it about your stupid little best friend, hm?" I stopped and stared at Mari. "What is wrong with you?!" Great, Another thing to deal with before doing what I want. Mari looked angry. "What? Are you that angry? He's stupid enough to get his hand blown off--" I pushed Mari hard and then pointed my sword at her. "WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" I wanted to hurt her but I couldn't, what she said was out of pocket. "KRIS IS GOING THROUGH SOME SHIT AND I'M GOING TO FIND OUT WHY PEOPLE ARE AFTER HIM AND YOU COME TO ME AND TALK SHIT ABOUT HIM?! WHAT KIND OF PERSON ARE YOU." Mari backed up and gulped. She slowly got up, holding her hands in the air a bit to show she wasn't going to do anything I guess. "L-Look...I just want things how they always have been and- and Kris is just in the way--" I stopped pointing my sword at Mari as I was completely speechless. I walked up to Mari, staring at her with a death stare. "Don't you ever bring up Kris in our conversations again as if you know him as I do?" Mari backed up away from me as if I was scaring her. "A-Alright! Alright, I'm sorry!" Skittles hissed as I petted her gently. I turned around and opened the trapdoor again, getting inside the hideout. "Don't follow me either." I closed the trapdoor.
