SNAPE ~ Loud and clear

Severus Snape was many things, most of them negative as a result of the unfortunate hand he had been dealt with in life.

If you asked any of his students, the words~ bitter, rude, vindictive and cold would be the least colorful words used to describe the man...yes, Hogwarts resident Dungeon bat was bottom of the list of most loved professors but he most certainly wasn't a Predator- a teacher that took advantage of young minds foolish enough to fall for him in a misguided, school ground crush- students he could easily out maneuver and manipulate even on his most tiring of days due to his superior intellect and magical experience.

Severus had been teaching for two years now and had fallen into his role as Voldemort's spy quite well during this time. His distaste for muggles and love of the Dark Arts was still going strong.

The Potions Master's rare skill in Legilimency  meant that should he desire- it would be all too easy for him to know what students were thinking at that precise moment and delve further into their mind should he wish, and yet despite being a hardcore death eater he still had some morals. He only used his magical advantage in mind reading to make sure his young charges were not up to no good. Naturallly he used it on other Professor's to gain intel on Dumbledore but that was another matter- if he failed to be of use to the Dark Lord and ceased being an asset it would be him that would cease to be, and right now he throughly enjoyed being at the top of his Masters most valued followers- in his most inner circle.

This is why when a particularly talented young Witch, in her last year at Hogwarts, was constantly fantasizing about doing endless filthy things with him around his classroom during their allotted Potions class~ on students desks, in his ingredients cupboard, against his classroom door and sometimes even on the Great Hall table Professors ate at- he bit down on his tongue as graphic thoughts streamed at him like a loud speaker- instead of calling her out on it.

There were bigger things at play after all- it wasn't worth his time.

These instances had grown in number the closer she got to graduation and over the past few weeks had peaked to uncharted heights- however it was the upped level of lewdness specifically that affected him so.

Even right now, as sexual images lapped at his subconscious, he had to remind himself that the dark haired girl responsible was in his own house, the best student he'd taught thus far and reprimanding her would mean losing the house cup considering the number of points he would have to deduct to punish her for the offensive thoughts.

Points from Slytherin? Blasphemy!

He couldn't call her out on the inappropriateness of thinking about her Professor that way without revealing his secret gift as a Legilimens and besides- could he really punish her for the mere act of thinking in the privacy of her own mind? No- it was just extremely unnerving having a front row seat to it.

As mentioned, apart from being his best student, Olivia Blackmore also happened to be the least annoying person he was forced to interact with during his fake teaching stint. She listened when he spoke, did as she was told and made zero mistakes. Her written work was handed in promptly, before anyone else, and was composed with such precision that paragraphs went straight to the point and saved him much time when reading. Most importantly- the Witch's brews were flawless and reminded him of his own at her age- she really was a natural potioneer.

In short- apart from her mind being an open faucet, Olivia Blackmore actually was tolerable as far as Snape was concerned and he couldn't say a bad word about her. On some level, he had to admit he found her thoughts quite amusing amongst the drudgery of teaching dunderheads all day. Keeping students alive around volatile liquids and catalytic ingredients was a full time job. Olivia never ceased to surprise him with her creativity in the sordid scenarios she dreamt up.
