As Olivia left, Mela Ames stepped out from behind the tree- eyes full of unshed tears.
"My dear girl- never forget" she whispered, taking a steadying breath.
"Luceo Non Uro" she said in mantra- getting immense strength from the words.

A determined look covered her beautiful face before she transfigured herself into the haggard form of Vatsala- apparating out of sight for her place at the Dark Lords side.

I'm having trouble with the next chapter as it's from Severus's perspective and therefore stops the dialogue for quite a bit to give insight into his mind and character. I find it bogs me down quite a bit 🫠.
