Green Time Rush

The group of five best friends found themselves in class that day. "Okay class, it's time for your next social studies project!" Miss Collins announced to the class, who groaned in response. "You'll be working in pairs to find ways to make the Palm Woods greener and more environmentally friendly." Miss Collins explained. The class groaned once again. "The team with the idea that saves the most energy wins a week off from school." Miss Collins continued, receiving cheers from everyone. "Alright, alright. The projects are due at the end of the day, Thursday. So now, pick your partner!"

The class immediatelty divided into trying to get to the smartest pair in the class. "Logan!" "Lilly!" Everyone called, yanking the Mitchell siblings left and right, trying to be their partners.

But everyone quieted down when the biggest guy in the class, grabbed Logan's shoulder, lifting the boy up from his seat. "Logan is my partner."

Four out of the five looked at each other in fear, watching their friend behind held by his shoulder. Logan only gave a nervous thumbs-up before throwing his sister a 'help me' look.

"Okay, Logan and Ozzie are working together." Miss Collins said, walking over to the boys. "James and Carlos." The woman nodded over at the two who had been holding each other in fear. "The Jennifers." Miss Collins continued, moving on. "A Jennifer and Camille."

"Yay..." Both Camille and Blonde Jennifer spoke, awkwardly high-fiving.

"And Kendall, you and Lilly will work together." Miss Collins said to the two blondes, who fist-bumped.

"I hear we're picking partners today." Jett spoke, walking into the classroom. "Who's the lucky lady?"

"Well, since there's no more partners, you'll work with Kendall and Lilly." Miss Collins said.

The three teens immediately looked at each other before turning back to Miss Collins. "WHAT!"

After class ended, the five friends had gone back to their apartment. "We have to partner with Jett?" Lilly asked, sitting next to Kendall.

"I can't stand Jett!" The blonde boy exclaimed.

"Jett is right here." Jett said, appearing in front of the couple. "And I would expect a warmer reception considering I'm the only one who thought to bring a cheese platter." The boy continued, setting the platter on the counter next to Kendall.

"Why are you here?" Kendall asked, taking a slice of chees from the platter, offering one to Lilly, who happily took it.

"Because I'm not stuck on set all week like Jo, and now I'm stuck with you two." Jett answered.

"Would you three stop complaining!" Logan exclaimed as he stopped pacing around. "Did you see who I'm partnered with?" The smart boy continued.

"Ozzie Clark, he's a new heavy in town. Plays a psyco in every role he's in, and I don't think he's acting." Jett stated, making Logan even more nervous about his partner. "Gouda?" He offered.

"Please." Logan said, taking the slice of cheese.

"Hey, pretty boy, stop scaring my brother." Lilly said, hopping out of her seat, grabbing Logan's phone while walking over to the boy. "Just keep your phone with you and call if you need it." She said, handing the phone to her brother.

"And here's a bat, just in case you can't reach us." Kendall said, tossing a bat over to the older Mitchell.

"This does not make me feel better!" Logan exclaimed just as James and Carlos popped up next to the siblings.

"Then don't even do the project because our Palm Woods green idea is so gonna win that week off!" James exclaimed while Carlos nodded in agreement.

The blondes looked at each other before turning back to their best friends. "You have no idea what your project is, do ya?" The two asked, amused smiles on their faces.
