Broken green eyes met broken brown ones, both slowly walking towards each other, meeting in the middle of the hallway.

"Hey."

"Hi..."

There was an awkward silence between them, that neither liked. They had never experienced and awkward silence like this before.

After meeting up in the hallway, Kendall tried to speak first, but Lilly cut him off before both made their way towards Ash and Jo's apartment.

Now, both were in the emtpy apartment, sitting at opposite ends of the couch.

"Lills-" Kendall started, breaking the silence.

"Explain." Lilly interrupted. She was met with a look from her- Boyfriend? Ex? Friend? She didn't know where they stood right now. "You said you could explain what I saw, so do it. Explain." She continued.

"I didn't kiss Lucy." Kendall said, hearing Lilly let out a small breath.

"Okay, but I want to hear what led to what I saw." Lilly said, trying very hard to keep her emotions in check. She started to think that she should've waited a little longer before talking to him.

"I was helping James get a date with Lucy, like we planned to, remember?" Kendall said, receiving a nod from Lilly. "Well, her ex-boyfriend came to visit, we were figuring out ways to run him out of here." He continued.

"Why?"

"Because he's a jerk who wanted her back yet was still cheating on her, made James doubt his prettiness, and I... would've killed him if he was still here and tried something on you." Kendall explained, slowly going quieter towards the end.

Lilly's heart slightly melted at the last part. Oh, how she wanted to forgive him, kiss him till they were both out of breath, and call it a day; at least that's what her heart wanted. But of course, she had to be part Logan which meant her logical side was taking over, making her want to hear more before doing anything.

"And that led to you guys kissing in the elevator?" Lilly questioned in a small voice.

"No, she was going down to the lobby, and I joined her because I wanted to meet you. You texted that you were on your way and that you had something to tell us." The blonde boy said. "And I was planning on taking you on a date later." He mumbled.

The corner's of Lilly's lips twitched upwards slightly, but then dropped. "And I still haven't told you guys." She groaned. With everything that had happened just hours ago, the thought of her first single had slipped her mind. She noticed the questioning look she got from the taller boy. "That's not important right now. Just-" She spoke, making gestures for Kendall to continue.

"She started telling me about how you're lucky to have me and that I deserve better- Which isn't true." Kendall said, knowing Lilly was about to agree. "Then when I tried to ask what she meant, she kissed me, but I immediately pushed her away." He continued.

"O-kay." Lilly mumbled, letting herself take in everything that she just heard. "If you pushed her away, then why did I catch you guys k-kissing. Did you initiate another one?" She wondered.

"She told me that she liked me-"

"Which I told you she did." Lilly said, crossing her arms with a slight roll of her eyes.

"I know, and I told you it didn't- and doesn't -matter to me." Kendall reassured, seeing Lilly slowly uncross her arms.

"Then?"

"Then she kissed me again, and when I tried to pull away, she kept her arms on my neck. I only put my hands on her waist to push her away, but then I heard you..." Kendall explained, suddenly finding his hands more interesting.
