"That was really sweet, what you did for me." Lucy said as she and Kendall rode the elevator down to the lobby.

"Don't worry about it. And it's a good thing we ran him off today, you don't need someone like that." Kendall said. Mostly he was glad Lilly had been out for the past few hours. Heads would've rolled if he had caught Lucy's ex making a pass at his girlfriend.

"So, uh, what do plan on doing later?" Lucy asked.

"Well, Lills texted that she has some news, so I'm gonna meet her down in the lobby and see if she'll tell me before she tells anyone else. Then I'll take her on a date." Kendall explained, a small smile appearing on his face at the thought of the younger blonde.

"You know, she's lucky to have an amazing boyfriend like you." Lucy said, twinge of jealousy in her voice.

"Other way around." Kendall said with a small chuckle. "I'm lucky to have an amazing girlfriend like her."

"I honestly think you deserve better." Lucy said quietly, but was still heard.

"What?" The taller boy asked, turning to face her. "What do you mean-" Kendall tried, but was interrupted when Lucy pressed her lips against his. "Whoa! Lucy- What- why? Stop!" Kendall said, pushing away from the brunette.

"I'm sorry, I just-" Lucy tried.

"Did you forget I have a girlfriend, who considers you a really close friend?" Kendall interrupted, trying to wrap his head around what just happned.

"I like you a lot Kendall." Lucy said. She already made a move on him, might as well tell him.

"Look, I like you too, but not-" Kendall said, but felt lips press against his again. "Lucy, stop." The blonde boy tried pulling away, but noticed arms wrap around his neck, keeping him in place. Quickly thinking of how to get her off of him, Kendall relaxed, placing his hands on her waist, and silently cheered to himself when he felt the arms around his neck loosen their grip. And just as he was about to push away, he stopped. He froze in his spot when he heard a broken voice that would haunt him forever.

Lilly stood in her spot seeing Kendall and Lucy standing in the elevator. Jo and Ash shared a look between each other before looking back at the two people that had just currently broken Lilly.

"Lills." Kendall breathed out, heart slowly breaking while watching a small tear roll down Lilly's face.

"Okay." Lilly mumbled, wiping away the stray tear before running off, ignoring her friends calling after her.

It took a split second for Kendall to react, but as soon as he realized Lilly was gone, he took off after her, catching a sight of the blonde as she made her way up the stairs. "Lills! Lilly!" He called, running up the steps to catch up. "Lilly, wait. I can explain-"

"I don't care!" Lilly yelled, turning around to face him. "Just leave me alone." She said.

"No, Lilly it wasn't what it looked like." Kendall said, holding onto Lilly's arm.

"Let go!"

"Lilly, please just let me explain." Kendall tried.

"Let go of me!" Lilly cried, tugging on her arm, slightly stumbling when Kendall let go. "God, I can't believe I bought all those things you told me. You lied to me!" She cried harder.

"No, Lills, I swear I can explain." Kendall said, blinking away any tears that rimmed his eyes.

"I don't care anymore." Lilly mumbled, ripping off the locket he had gifted her for their first Christmas together. "You made me believe I was good enough for you." She whispered, throwing the necklace at Kendall before running up the stairs.
