CHAPTER 4

At XIAO MANSION...

Zhan settles himself on the sofa in front of his father and looked in his father's direction with curious eyes.
"Zhan, I want something from you. Will you give it to me?" Asked Mr. Xiao.

"What is it, Dad?" Replied Zhan.

Mr. Xiao takes a deep breath and looks at his son

"I want you to get married to Wang Yibo"

Zhan was bewildered to hear his dad's wish. To say he was shocked was an understatement he was beyond shocked, he didn't want to believe that his dad will wish him to get married. He thought that he must have heard it wrong, his ears are deceiving him today. To confirm his doubts he again looked at his dad and asked again to confirm what his dad said is true or another trick of his ears.
"You want me to do what, dad", asked Zhan unsure.
Mr. Xiao who was observing his son's every expression this time took his son's hand in his own and looked directly into his eyes.
"Son I want you to get married to Wang Yibo"
Said, Mr. Xiao emphasizing each word.

Zhan was taken aback, this time he freed his hand from his dad's grasp and took some time to calm himself. He lowered his head
"D... Da... Dad I... I..." He stuttered. After some time he said, "I can't do it, Dad."
Mr. Xiao who was looking at his son with his expecting gaze sighed, "Why, son" asked Mr. Xiao.

Zhan didn't have the answer to his father's question. He was not ready to get married and above that to a person whose name he has never heard in his whole life.

The silence was spreading in the study, the silence which was not for the like of its both occupant. Mr. Xiao decided to break the silence of the study and after a deep breath, "Son, do you have someone in your life. I mean someone you like or someone about whom you are not sure" asked Mr. Xiao somewhat being unsure. Though he knows his son has never shown any interest in relationships. He has always been an aloof person, devoid of any feelings But then why his son is so quiet, maybe he has someone about whom his heart is unsure.

Zhan who was taken aback by his dad's question didn't want to make his dad's mind filled with new thoughts, which are already filled with the thought about his marriage proposal. He immediately answered, "No, Dad it's not like that."

Zhan has been a cold-hearted and stoic person after the death of his mother. He has always been the person who has stayed away from any feelings and love was out of the box.
To add to all these, after becoming the CEO of xiao corporation, he became colder than he was earlier. He was never caught in any scandal and has never has shown interest in any particular gender. People after some time bestowed him with the title of COLD PRINCE, because of his emotionless and expressionless nature. At one time, some magazines started speaking, that for Xiao Zhan job was his wife and his better half.
