Mr. Xiao after completion of the wedding just moves toward the newlywed and engulfs them in a bone-crushing hug. He was so much happy that he was not able to express his happiness so he engulfed his son and son-in-law in a hug. After a few minutes, Mr. Xiao broke the hug and smiled at the couple. He turns toward his son and speaks, "Congratulations, my son" Zhan who hears it smiles a little and speaks, "thanks, dad." Mr. Xiao smiles at his son and then turns toward Yibo.
Yibo who was watching the father-son duo with a smile on his face suddenly remembered his father and a painful smile got adorned on his face as he started missing his father but he know that his father will never hug him like Mr. Xiao hugs his son because he knows his father hates him and today he got sure about it as He didn't even come for his wedding so how can he accept a hug from his father.
Mr. Xiao who had turned toward Yibo saw the smile which was adorned by the child. He understood the pain of the child, for not being loved by his father, the pain behind the smile so he immediately took the boy in his embrace. Yibo who was busy in his thoughts was taken aback by the hug as this was the first time someone other than Mrs. Yan hugged him. He felt his body stiffen but after some time, he got relaxed and found himself melting in that embrace as it was providing him warmth which he had not gotten after the death of his mother.
Mr. Xiao when felt the boy relaxing smiled a little and broke the hug to look at the new addition to his family. Mr. Xiao smiled at the look of the boy which was showing the innocence of the child. Mr. Xiao while caressing the boy's hair spoke, "Welcome to the family, my son."
Yibo on hearing this smiled widely, as he spoke, "Th..thanks", and after this lowered down his head as he was feeling a little bit shy. Mr. Lan cooed at the boy's expression and smiled widely.
Yibo who was watching the interaction between his father and husband smiled at himself. He was happy that a single decision of his has bought a true smile that was missing from his father's face since the death of his mother. He knew that his father is truly happy today and the smile adorned on his father's face is making him smile too.
