ERIATA ADESUWA AMELIA
"I heard she is going to get expelled" Bola said and I tried to listen to her discussion with Itohan as I munched on my munch it. The blue one to be specific, the only one I liked.
Bola had a variety of snacks on her table, that girl never seems to care about her weight. They kept gossiping about the SS3 senior which apparently was caught making out with a boy, dating was highly discouraged at KentWood but that didn't stop the students from doing it.
I suddenly felt someone staring at me and I looked forward to see the eyes of Arieth boring holes on my head. I raised my left eyebrow and gave her a questioning look and she just smiled
Strange
Today was boring anyways. Most teachers didn't come for their classes because today was the first day of school same thing with some students but I am sure that from next week, the school would go back to its bubbly nature.
"Adesuwa, a meeting is being called" Sophia said
"Amba-"
"Yes" she cut me off and she began to walk away and I hurridly stood up and followed her.
They met in the assembly hall and I didn't know which was more strange, the fact that they called a meeting during school hours or the fact that we were using the assembly hall when we had a room for all these.
When we arrived we saw several others sitting down and we went to take our own sit. Ambassadors, Prefects, forthcoming ambassadors and shadowing prefects were all present and I was surprised when I saw Bola waving at me.
When did she leave, sly!
The head boy and head girl mounted the stage while the head boy went further to mount the podium. I slightly blushed, well let's just say I had a tiny crush on our headboy. Who am I kidding I've been crushing on him since I first met him in JSS2. Like who wouldn't, have you met the guy.
He cleared his throat and began talking "I would like to thank you all for coming on a short notice, due to the fact that this is still school hours and some of us are about to have classes, I will make this very brief. My fellow students I would like to introduce you to Desmond, he recently came this third term but the school administrative department has decided to add him to the list of forthcoming ambassadors"
Murmers exploded. What! He came this third term, that is like today and he was added.
That was impossible
'Yet it's was possible' my subconsciousness mocked me.
I studied the boy, he had a bored expression on like all this didn't faze him, like he hadn't just done the impossible. I eyed him up and down and gave him the most disgusting look I could muster. For the school to do this that means he has to be good, exceptionally good, making him a competition.
And I hate competitions
"Please let's reduce the noise, we are disturbing others" the head girl said and I rolled my eyes, I didn't like her for some unknown reason "Please Desmond tell us more about yourself"
The Desmond guy eyes skimmed over us like we were some piece of trash. Then he opened his mouth to speak and the whole hall went silent
"Desmond, 16 years old. A former student of Jovian High School"
There was silence everywhere then another explosion of murmuring. I had heard of the school Jovian high school. It was mainly non Nigerians that went there.
I looked closely at the boy, he looked Nigerian but at the same time he didn't, maybe it was because of his amazing hair which of course, regular nigerian guys don't have
