DAFE JAMUIKE DESMOND
I watched her retreating back unable to look away, something wasn't right. First of all she was limping which was odd because I had encouted her on the hallway today and she was doing just fine.
She had even bumped into me and instead of apologising she rudely walked away. I was raging in anger until I realised I had seen her some where before and it took five minutes for my brain to bring back the memories of the girl dancing in the rain.
She looked different, the girl in the rain looked happy and wild while the girl I met in school looked rude and totally unapproachable but they was a glint in her eyes which resembled sadness but what do I know.
Then she turned back and looked me straight in the eyes. I saw shock, fear, tiredness and still that glint of sadness. I studied her face more closely, her head looked slightly swollen and her eyes looked puffy like she had just finished crying not to forget that she looked disorganised.
What was up with this girl
Her gazed shifted to Ola and immediately Ola saw her he waved and she waved back then she faced forward and continued walking but I couldn't bring myself to just look away. She was like a puzzle and I loved solving puzzles.
"Guy, why you dey look the girl like that?" Ola's voice immediately brought me out of my train of thoughts "don't even go there because the babe no go give you face. Trust me many have tried and all have failed"
That got me interested
"It seems like you two are on good terms" I said
"Yeah, she's my gee now but forget she can be a pain in the ass" he replied "I hope you have not fallen for her ooo"
"I don't do those bullshit" I replied
"Better ooo, because she will not even give you face. Jide tried now, last valentine day. She just hissed and walked out. Omo the shenki e pain ooo" he continued "her hiss gun, it use to carry weight. Sometimes I use to think she is a snake sef"
"Guy I've heard now abi do you like her" I said teasingly then smirked
"Ehn! Abeg set girls are not my spec jare"
"Ehn so who's your spec?"
"Ah guy have you seen Crestview girls, omo they hot ooo" he replied and I just laughed then asked
"Okay so who's your girlfriend there?" then he scratched his neck
"Emm... their boys are fine too now"
"Well as for me I don't do those"
"Holiest!" he hyped
If only he knew why. I did't believe in love so what was the point of having a girlfriend.
"Abeg guy lets go" I said and we walked out of the school. I had told my driver not to come pick me up and him likewise, we planned to hang out.
"So where should we go to?" He started and I almost face palmed myself, this was his plan and he didn't even know where we were going to 'hang' out. "Restaurant, club, arcade, amusement park, anywhere?"
"Club? Guy we are underaged" I said with a bored expression on my face
"Okay I know where we can go to chill, Golden rose!" He suddenly said
That sounds like a hotel or something
I shrugged "whatever". We took an uber to this supposed Golden rose.
At first sight it looked like all those lavish restaurant but inside was rather a combination of different things. Ola walked up to the receptionist and I followed.
"Hey Omonye!" He called out and I couldn't help but think that she looked oddly familiar "I thought you were abroad studying now?"
"I was oo but I came back to rest small, I'll be going back in one week"
She said
"Okay" he replied
"So won't you introduce me to this handsome gentleman" she said while her gaze focused on me and I smiled on of my charming smiles and I could see her slightly blush.
Ola laughed and then introduced us to eachother "So Omonye this is Desmond, a new friend and my gee. Desmond this is Omonye, a friend and also Adesuwa's older sister"
