Rick POV

We were walking down the track and it was Michonne and I in front and Daryl and Carl behind us. I look over to Michonne, "You okay?" She nods and a moment goes by before I look at her again, "I'm okay." She nods, "I know." I look at her confused, "How?" She shrugs, "Cause, I'm okay too." I walk over to one of the Terminus signs that had fell and brushed it off to see how far we were. Daryl looked at it, "We're getting close. Be there before sundown." I looked at them, "Now we head through the woods. We don't know who they are." Daryl nodded, "Alright." I was hoping when we got there Madison was there. I needed her to be, it was my last hope. If she wasn't there, and wasn't with Joey, she's as good as gone.

We walked until we finally reached a fence. I walked up to the fence and peaked through it, I saw nobody just a building that read Terminus. I looked back to them, "We all spread out, watch for a while, see what we see, and get ready. We all stay close." I looked to Carl, "You want to stick with me?" He shrugged, "It's all right." I nodded as he walked past me and with Michonne. I was afraid that he saw me as the monster I was the other night, the example I don't ever want Carl to be. I was walking around the fence watching when I heard Michonne speaking, "I see how you've been looking at your dad. You don't have to be afraid of me or him." Carl looked down, "He told me the other day that he was proud of me. That I was a good man. I'm not." "Carl-" Michonne started but he cut her off, "I know more now." He pauses as he sniffles, "About what he wanted from me. And I tried, but... I still have these thoughts. I'm not what he thinks I am. I'm just another monster, too." I sigh as I look down, Carl has made mistakes sure, but he is not a monster, and it broke my heart to hear that he thought he was.

I dug a whole to place my duffle bag filled with guns just in case, I place my gun inside it before zipping it up, "Just in case." I quickly cover it up before we climb over the fence. As we land on the ground we pull out our weapons. It was quiet, too quiet. We crossed the tracks and over the platform where we saw an open door. I held the door open and nodded to Daryl to go in before we all followed. "Terminus--those who arrive survive. Follow the tracks to the point where all lines intersect." We heard call out and we followed it. We quietly walked in watching a bunch of people working, and one on the radio. "There are maps at the crossings to help guide you with your journey. Sanctuary for all. Community for all. Those who arrive survive. Terminus, sanctuary for all. Community for all." I walked up to her, "Hello." She looked up at me starting before cutting herself off, "Those who s-" "Hello." I said a little louder to the whole room. "Well, I bet Albert is on perimeter watch. You here to rob us?" One of the men asked us as he walked over towards us. I shook my head, "No. We wanted to see you before you saw us." He nods before walking over to us waving his arms, "Makes sense. Usually we do this where the tracks meet. Ahem. Welcome to Terminus. I'm Gareth. Looks like you've been on the road for a good bit." I nod, "We have. Rick." I pause nodding to the others, "That's Carl, Daryl, Michonne." He waves his hand to them before he nods waving his hands, "You're nervous. I get it. We were all the same way. We came here for sanctuary. That what you're here for?" I stare at him trying to read him, "Yes." Gareth smiles, "Good. You found it." He looks back calling to a guy that comes over next to him, "Hey, Alex. This isn't as pretty as the front. We got nothing to hide, but welcome wagon is a whole lot nicer. Alex will take you, ask you a few questions. Uh, but first, we need to see everyone's weapons. If you could just lay them down in front of you." I looked at the rest of my group as they looked to me and I nodded taking my weapons out and setting them on the ground, "Alright." Gareth smiles, "I'm sure you understand." I look up to him, "Yes I do." Something about them just wasn't right, but I couldn't pinpoint it. We all sit out weapons out and T-pose as Gareth comes to check me and Alex goes to Daryl. Alex looks to Daryl's face, "I'd hate to see the other guy." A flash of that night went through my head, "You would." Alex moved over to check Carl, "They deserve it?" Carl spoke with no hesitation, "Yes." I looked to Carl for a moment, thinking of what he said in the forest. Gareth patted my back before walking to the front of us, "Just so you know, we aren't those kind of people, but we aren't stupid either. And you shouldn't be stupid enough to try anything stupid. As long as everyone's clear on that, we shouldn't have any problems. Just solutions. Okay." Alex picked up Michonne's sword handing it to her before moving to Daryl's crossbow, who picked it up before Alex could touch it. He then grabbed Carl's gun handing it to him before picking up my gun and handing it to me. We kept eye contact for a moment until Alex's voice broke it, "Follow me."
