"Are you sure you want to stay up here? We have nicer rooms in the castle."

"I like it here..." I assured her. It's true, it's up at the top floor of the tavern, out of the way of the others who didn't want me to stay.

Everyone seems to be against me. I passed through Sera's room, and she stood in the doorway, glaring.

I stared back at her. Which she didn't like at all.

"I don't know what you are, you... uh... spirit, demon, thingy. But I don't like you! Keep away from me, or else I'll kick you right up your dangle bag!"
She slammed the door aggressively, right in front of me and the Inquisitor.

Nalia's jaw dropped, but I didn't react. I only walked away, going up the steps to where I stand now. I'm used to people either not noticing me, or scared of me. It doesn't hurt like it used to though...back when I couldn't understand what I was. Now, I see things clearly, and I know my purpose.

"Cole?" Nalia asks. She's still standing there? I thought she had left.

I glance at her.

She hesitantly pinches the tips of her fingers, nervous. About what?
"I'm sorry, about Vivienne. About the others. If they cause you any trouble you can come tell me right away and I'll deal with it."

"Thank you," I whisper, turning away so that my back faces her. I cross my arms, holding a hand to my chin, staring up into space.

"Uh, so I...I'll talk to you later," she says softly.

I look at her again. "How do you know?"

She hesitates by the stairs. Her mind is racing with questions, all that I can hear clearly.

"What does he mean? Is he leaving? Should I ask him?"

Nalia shakes her head softly, giving me a little smile before disappearing down the stairs and leaving the Tavern.

I stand by the barrell in the corner, thinking...

I feel...odd. Two sides are struggling inside of me, one believing that it was a mistake joining the Inquisition, and the other, thinking it was the best thing to do.

Corypheus is real, and immortal? It's confusing. He's angry, hurting others, he tore open the sky and caused chaos to the world. The Inquisition will stop him.

Nalia, will stop him.

It was good to join the Inquisition. Though people might see me as a demon, it doesn't matter.

I am here to help...and then they will forget.

"I don't understand him, Solas," I sit on the sofa in his room, "do you think I should ask him about...himself?"
I came to Solas's room right after I left Cole. I needed someone to talk to about everything, someone who knows about spirits and demons and is willing to share his knowledge with me.

Mostly though, I wanted to talk about what happened between us.
I haven't brought it up yet, though I should soon.
I was hesitant at first, seeing his reaction when I walked into his room.
He dropped a plate, and it shattered.
So, I've been waiting for the moment to speak.

So far, he's shown to be very embarrassed around me. He rarely glanced at me since I've been here.

Solas's back is to me, his hands busy writing on paper on his desk. "We already know most of what we need too, but when it comes to what he was before the now, then I suggest you wait to ask. Perhaps bring him along on our travels, maybe he'll begin to feel that he can trust us."
