It was a time like this, that I'd longed to speak to my mother. I'd never tell her what I had done last night, but I would definitely ask her about her first time... she was the only woman figure in my life.

As I got off the bus, I stood across the street from Victoria's Secret. I'd never gone in before. Not by myself, not even with my mother as she couldn't afford such luxuries. I sighed, looking around before taking some crumbled up dollars from my pockets and counting them to make sure I had at least twenty.

I did. I took it from Swifty's safe, he'd never miss it. He still hadn't even come home.

I took a deep breath and lifted my hood over my head before hurrying across the street and into the store. The employees were breathing down my neck before I could even take mt second step in.

"Hi how are you today?!"

"I'm good... thanks." I mumbled shyly. It was bad enough I didn't want to be seen there, worse to have to talk to anyone.

"Is here anything I could help you find today?!" She asked, almost in a shout. I could tell she thought I came to steal.

I slowly took my hood down, "no... just looking around."

The blonde bombshell's eyes instantly fell upon the bruise on my forhead. Her entire demeanor switched from suspicious, to sad.

"Well you just let me know then, dear. We're doing fifty percent off all panties today..." She said, backing off.

"Thanks." I sighed under my breath, walking over to the selection.

I could feel eyes on me as I looked around, my heart sinking. Great, they're all staring at my forehead...

I kept my head down, feeling as though if I couldn't see them, they couldn't see me.

I picked up a black lace thong, holding it up and observing it. I'd never understood why anyone would want a piece of string up their ass... but I always understood it was feminine and sexy.

I studied it's construction, turning it around and feeling the lace. I remembered I wasn't alone, noticing a young woman looking at me with pity. I kept it in hand and grabbed a pink one as well, hurrying to the counter to pay.

"Hi... good choices we just got these in. Did you see Tyra Banks on the catwalk with these and the teddy?" This woman had the biggest hair full of curls I'd ever seen, and wore so much makeup she looked like a model herself.

I shook my head no, keeping my head down and counting my dollars to pay.

"Special occasion?" She asked slyly.

I shook my head no again, sliding the money across the counter. It was hard to look at someone so beautiful with a purple knot on my forehead and a big giant hoodie on with tousled hair.

She understood it was a dead end conversation and discontinued.

"Word of advice... if you go next door to Mac, they can cover that up nicely for you." She said quietly.

"Thanks..." I took the bag and change and hurried out, pulling my hood back on.

I hadn't really given much thought to the fact that this was the beginning of my womanhood.

I had bought my first thong...

When I'd gotten home, Swifty was hustling and bustling around. He was clearly running late and I couldn't be happier. I hid my shiny new Victoria's Secret bag behind me as I hurried to my room, closing the door.
