The Challenge

Cry for me, Argentina

   We're all woken up extremely early pushing like 5:00 am to get going and Kenny's extremely energetic. I'm typically a morning person but after the blurred memory and 2 hours of sleep not today.

Everyone loads their suitcases up into the bus then gets in. When we get to the airport we all check in and go through security when everyone gets to the gate we see we still have 45 minutes until boarding.

I had spotted a little breakfast shop around where we first got out of security so I decided go around asking everyone what they want and write it all down.

I look at the list and see how much I'm gonna have to grab and I curse under my breath before asking if anyone wants to come with cause I'm gonna need help. A lot of people have already gone back to sleep but I see kenny about to volunteer then Ct gets up and tells me he'll go.

I lock eyes with kenny and he raises an eyebrow I just shrug and turn to walk with Ct.

We walk silently as our shoulders bump into each other slightly.

When we arrive I split the list in half and give half to him so we can divide and conquer.

He gets Johnny, Jenn, Mandi, Tyler, Mike, Leroy and lastly himself.

I got Wes, Kenny, Eve, Paula, Laurel, Adam and myself.

It takes some time to find everyone's order especially when people like Wes and Paula have elaborate burrito orders which can get confusing.

Once we've both gotten bags for everything we meet back up.

"Hey since the flights like 7 hours wanna grab some snacks beside these?" I ask.

"Sure" he says taking the bags from my hands.

"Oh you don't have to-"

"No it's all good".

We find a small store by the shop we were just in. We didn't really ask if anyone wanted anything obviously and since no one else wanted to come we just grabbed whatever we wanted. I might have grabbed too much but I don't really care, Ct also seemed to have grabbed a lot.

I look in his arms and spot a soda, bag of chips, granola bars, two packs of gum and a book.

In my own arms I have a coffee, bag of chips, gum, some candy and a parfait.

"I think we've gotten too much" he says.

I just swat him away "it's no big deal we can store it away too" I smile up at him.

"You know I meant what I said last night".

"I know".

We both go up and pay before I take a look at a clock beside the cashier, the planes got to be almost done boarding now. I grab Cts shoulder and point to the time and his eyes go wide as well.

We hurry up and are now basically running to the gate considering the place was initially pretty far away.

By the time we get there nearly everyone is boarded and we go up to the lady and she takes our tickets and when we get on with bags of stuff we can't find any seats, seems the flight was booked.

We pass everyone in our group, Johnny gives me a weird look when I pass him, and kenny who's next to him tells me to hurry up and give him his food, I give him the finger in return.

Ct and I couldn't find any individual seats and so we kept walking and kept walking and finally find two of the worst seats.

We get a middle and window seat at the very back. I sit in the middle next to a girl just around my age maybe younger maybe older and I say hello before sitting next to her.
