I don't ship this.
They do not have a balanced relationship, and heres why.
Peril has an OBSESSION over Clay. She thinks about him nonstop and Escaping Peril says the word 'Clay' more times than Clay's own book says his name!
It's not exactly a bad thing. However, Clay does not have this connection towards Peril. Guys, this isn't healthy!
He likes her as a friend, and wants to make her a better dragon. Now I see how people might relate this as a romantic relationship, but let's talk about how Clay is a teacher at JMA, while Peril is basically a student.
Just think about that.
