PAGLABAS ko ng apartment ay sumakay ako sa elevator at bumaba sa floor ng office ni Papa.

Wala akong nakitang tao, maski 'yong receptionist ay wala rin. Dumeretso lang ako sa office niya ngunit wala rin naman siya rito. Umupo ako sa kaniyang swivel chair malapit sa bintana kung nasaan ang kaniyang main desk.

Hintayin ko nalang siguro si Papa, para makapag-usap kami sa plano niyang pagsamahin kami ni Iyah sa iisang apartment.

Pinagmasdan ko ang lamesa niya at nakita ko naman ang litrato nila ni Mama. It was the same picture na pinakita nila Koala sa akin bago ako ipinunta rito. It made me smile. Siguro kung dati pa lamang ay sinubukan kaming balikan ni Papa, mas naging masaya si Mama.

I saw a folder beside the picture that got me curious. It was labelled Chaliyah Sweet Roma's File pasimple ko itong binuksan at bumungad sa akin ang litrato ng isang batang babae. Beside it was her most recent picture. She was beautiful either way.

I began to read her file.

So ito pala ang mga alters ni Iyah. So far, tatlo pa lang ang nakikilala ko. Mas lalo tuloy akong na intriga kaya nilipat ko ang pahina sa page twelve. Isa ito sa hindi ko pa nakikilalang alter ni Iyah.
