"Now, let us welcome, Mr. Vent Dominique W. Huxley for his valedictory speech" the host announced as I stepped in front and face my fellow graduates.

I cleared my throat before starting my speech. Lahat ng mata nakatingin saakin ngunit nakatingin lang ako sa tatlong taong naging kaibigan ko sa mga nakaraang buwan. Si Iyah, Si Klint, at si Charm.

"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed faculty members, proud parents, and my fellow graduates,

Today, as we stand on the brink of a new chapter in our lives, I can't help but be filled with gratefulness and humility. We've faced numerous obstacles along the way, but here we are, triumphant and resilient.

The challenges we faced, the difficulties we endured, and the tribulations we conquered formed us into the people we are today. Today, I'd like to reflect on our journey together, celebrate the ties we've created, and share the valuable lessons we've learned.

Surviving hardship has been an essential element of our shared experience. We faced self-doubt, academic expectations, and personal challenges that threatened to break us down. We, on the other hand, refused to give in.

We learnt to view adversity as an opportunity for progress, understanding that true strength is found not in avoiding obstacles, but in managing them with steadfast perseverance. Each setback became an opportunity to push past our limitations, to unearth our inner reservoirs of resilience, and to demonstrate that we are capable of greatness.

But it wasn't only our individual fortitude that got us through; it was the relationships we built with one another that served as a beacon in the darkest of times. We faced hardships together, boosted each other up, and provided steadfast support. We took refuge in the encouraging comments of our friends while we were feeling down.

When we fell, we discovered hands reaching out to help us get back up. These bonds, formed through shared experiences and mutual understanding, have served as the foundation for our journey. The friendship we formed reminds us that no matter how difficult the journey may be, we will never have to walk it alone.

Perhaps the most significant lesson we have learned is the importance of doing our best. It is not about being perfect or achieving greatness at all costs; it is about giving our utmost effort in everything we do. We discovered that success is not measured solely by external validation, but by the satisfaction that comes from knowing we have given our all.

Our journey has taught us to embrace the process, to find joy in the pursuit of excellence, and to strive for continuous improvement. By doing our best, we unlock our true potential and create a positive impact on the world around us.

As we bid farewell to this chapter of our lives, let us carry the memories of our hardships, the strength of our bonds, and the lessons we've learned as a beacon of hope.

Let us never forget the trials we've overcome and the people who stood beside us. As we step into the world beyond these hallowed halls, let us embrace the challenges that lie ahead, knowing that we have the power within us to overcome anything that comes our way.

To my fellow graduates, I am immensely proud of each and every one of you. Your tenacity, your compassion, and your unwavering spirit have inspired me beyond measure. I am grateful for the privilege of sharing this journey with you.

As we part ways today, may we always remember the strength we found in surviving hardships, the bonds that have fortified our souls, and the commitment to doing our best.
