It has been over a week since Yeonjun and Yeji met properly. Apart from a few hi's and hello's, they barely interacted. And for the past three days, they didn't even see each other at all. Yeonjun's mind was constantly on Yeji. Even during work. He couldn't get her out of his head. Like some sort of song that captures you, and you'll forever remember it.

It was his lunchbreak when Yuna, his colleague, came up to him. "Our manager wants to see you." She said simply. Yeonjun swallowed the last bite of his chocolate mint cookie and responded blankly: "Okay." As he was heading towards the place he was supposed to find his manager, Yeonjun caught a glimpse of someone.

The same guy who asked him where the cheese was. The tall, baby-face guy who looked like someone Yeonjun knew but couldn't get it from where. As he was passing by him, he saw a poster on the glass window: it was the same guy in a black suit with the letters written above him. "Choi Soobin! Concert at 6 pm..."

Yeonjun's jaw dropped. So this is where he knew this guy from. He wanted to ask for his autograph, but then he realized that he'll make his manager wait, which is never a good idea. Once he spotted his manager, Yeonjun fastened his pace. "You wanted to see me, sir?" Yeonjun asked as he was looking at the same thing his manager was looking at.

It was a poster about hiring new staff. "Do we need more staff? I thought you said we were enough, sir." Yeonjun said, unaware of what was yet to come for him. "We will need someone to replace the person that will be fired." His manager responded sincerely. Yeonjun gasped. "Huh... who?" At his words, the manager turned to him with an apologetic look on his face.

"Choi Yeonjun, I'm sorry. You've been working for quite a while in this supermarket, and we really appreciate the work you've done," Yeonjun knew what was coming for him. "But you've been really distracted for the past week, and you've done some things that made our supermarket look a little bad."

"But, sir, I've only messed up where the vegetable oil should have gone to." Yeonjun tried to grasp on the little bit of doubt there could be. "No, Yeonjun. You've mopped the floors in the drinks aisle with polishing liquid, and people have fallen because of that. You've left the backdoors unlocked and broke two bottles of expensive wine."

Yeonjun was left speechless. He knew the things he had done, and he knew that they were pretty bad. "Sir, I'm really sorry..." But before he could finish his sentence, his manager interrupted: "No, Yeonjun, I'm sorry that I'll have to fire you. I'll be nice and I won't take the covering expenses from your last salary, but you've got to leave now."

Yeonjun nodded silently and bowed with respect. "Thank you, sir!" He went around the corner and saw Soobin looking at the can of beans he had in his hands. "I may have heard the whole conversation." Soobin started. "Okay, so?" Yeonjun said it a little too arrogantly, which made him cringe a little.

"I saw how you do your hair. It's really pretty. You seem to know how to style it." Soobin said, making Yeonjun touch his own hair. "Thanks, but what does that have to do with anything?" He responded, a bit weirded out. "Oh, well... My hair stylist quit today, and there will be job applications tomorrow at HYPE entertainment. If you're looking for a job, then why not come and try out?" Soobin suggested, making Yeonjun take a step back.

"Why?" He asked simply. "Hm?" Soobin couldn't understand the question. "Why are you kind to me? What's the deal?" Yeonjun asked the final question. "Do you really not know?" Soobin asked, making Yeonjun even more confused. "We were kindergarten best friends. C'mon! We built a whole house out of sticks and snow when we were five years old."

Then, Yeonjun remembered. All of the stupid things they did and how much fun they had. "So that's where I know you exactly from! Wow... It has been so long." He said, a nostalgic tone in his voice. "I'm glad you remember." Soobin smiled and looked at his watch. "Oh, shit. I'll be late. See you tomorrow, Yeonjun-ah!" He said and ran towards checkout. "See you!" Yeonjun shouted behind him and then headed to the staff room to take his stuff and leave.
