It was Yeonjun's birthday, and Yeji was looking all around the mall for a suitable gift for her favorite boy. She was looking at watches, bracelets, and clothes, but none seemed like something Yeonjun would like. Then, as she was passing by a small store, she saw through the window a golden necklace with the letter "Y" hanging from it. It was just perfect. She went in and bought it immediately.

Meanwhile, Yeonjun just woke up from his deep sleep. It was Sunday, so he could allow himself to oversleep. He went in the bathroom and started brushing his teeth lazily, while his eyes were barely open. He didn't bother to change from his pajamas. He took his favorite meal of all time, cereal and milk, and sat down on the couch, turning on the TV. It was on the news channel, and Yeonjun then finally saw the date. September 13th.

"Oh my god! Today is my birthday! How did I even forget?" He scratched the back of his head. He shrugged the confusing feeling off and went back to watching the news. Then he, again, thought of something: "Did Yeji text me happy birthday?" He excitedly took his phone and checked for the messages, but it turned out that Yeji didn't text anything. He got multiple happy birthday messages from Beomgyu, Huening Kai, Soobin, Yuna, Chaeryeong, and even Ryujin. But none from Yeji. He quickly wrote a thank you message to everyone and closed his phone. Then his phone started ringing. It was his mom calling.

"Yeonjun, my baby! Happy birthday!" His mom shouted a bit too loud, making him distance the phone from his ear. "Thanks, eomma." He responded in a dull tone. "Why do you sound sad? Did something happen?" His mom quickly caught onto his mood. "Not really." He lied. "Alright, dear. Call me if something's wrong." She said with a calming voice. "Okay, eomma. Bye." He hung up and slipped his phone on the couch.

He was hugging the pillow that Yeji gifted him since she thought it would match the couch. And it did. It looked really nice. It was already 11 a.m., and there was no message from Yeji. Then a thought struck his mind: "What if she's feeling unwell?" He took his keys from the hanger and unlocked the door, heading straight for Yeji's door. He knocked once. Nothing. He knocked twice. Still nothing. He was about to knock for the third time when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Yeonjun-ah, what are you doing?" It was Yeji's voice. "Ah! Sorry. I thought you were home." He turned around to face the girl, who was holding a couple of bags. "Oh, you were grocery shopping." He said, sounding a bit disappointed. "Yeah, why?" Yeji said calmly. "No reason, it's just... we usually went grocery shopping together. And... yeah." Yeonjun mumbled, nervously fiddling with his hands. "Well, I had to go and buy some stuff. And I know you like to sleep in on the weekends, so I chose not to wake you up." Yeji explained as she unlocked the door to her apartment. "Want to come in?" She asked, and Yeonjun nodded.
