My Life Was Saved Through Love (Tony/Maria)

"How Could You Choose This?"

Anita was wondering whether or not Maria was going to choose their friendship over the love she feels for Tony. Was she right? Because why would Maria choose some boy she had just met over the friendship between her and Anita which was lifelong? Anita was hopeful that Maria would choose their friendship over love she had just met. She was certain she would choose her best friend and that Maria would not choose the love she had only just met. Was she right? All Anita wanted was for Maria to make the choice. Anita wanted Maria to choose their friendship over her love Tony. 

She doesn't want her best friend to choose someone who could potentially end up breaking her heart and shattering Maria's soul. She doesn't want to see Maria heart-broken. By choosing Tony,Anita is so certain that Maria will end up heartbroken. Or that could be because Tony ended her own love Bernardo that she feels this way. She sees Maria and then becomes hesitant. She asks,"Maria,did you make your choice?" Maria asked,"My choice about what?" Anita said,"Me or that boy?" Maria said,"His name is Tony!" Anita grew silent. 

Anita said,"You have to pick either me or him! But I don't think you should pick him because he might break your heart Maria!" Maria walked away angry at Anita,"You just want to see the love of my life get ended because he did that to Bernardo,your love!" Anita sat down,knowing Maria was not wrong. She knew it was wrong to try to get Maria to choose her and not the love of her life.

She was being selfish and she knew it. She was not considering Maria's feelings. If anything continued this way, who knows who Maria will choose? But it might not be her.  She had to let Maria choose. She can't be trying to get Maria to choose her and not who she'd want. After all,it was never okay or good to be selfish and Anita knows that and she .wanted to try to prevent herself from selfishness. After all,Maria was right. Anita was only acting this way because of the Rumble and the fact that the love of Maria's life ended the love of Anita's life. 

Maria was fuming and she didn't want to give Anita the satisfaction and she was now really conflicted over who to choose. She loved Tony but she was friends with Anita. However Anita was becoming bossy and selfish and Maria thinks that she will just end up choosing Tony over Anita. And maybe that will help teach Anita a lesson she needed to learn. Maria never thought she would ever be in this situation ever. But now that she was,she was realizing how stressful it is. Was she really going to choose love over friendship now? Yes. 

She was happy to have finally made the decision that she wanted instead of bothering to listen to a grieving selfish Anita. Yes Bernardo was her brother but he was too stubborn and controlling over her and she didn't want to deal with that again with her best friend Anita,who was Bernardo's girlfriend. She told herself to tell her best friend and the girlfriend of Bernardo what her choice was. She approaches Anita,"I have made my choice Anita. I choose Tony." Anita was shocked that the little sister of Bernardo would choose the boy who had been the person to end her brother's life.​​​​​​​She asked,"How could you choose this? How could you choose the boy who had been the one to end the life of your brother, Maria?" Maria shrugged and simply said,"Because I love him. I love Tony."
