((Yes, I do mention Chica being a duck. But that is just how Rain sees her until she realises she is actually a chicken. So don't complain.))

Dawn approached and shone through my window, bathing me in morning sunlight. I yawned and stretched before rolling out of bed.
I excitedly ran out of my room and dashed into my parents bedroom. I leapt onto their bed and yelled, "It's time!!"
Mum grumbled and waved her hand dismissively, "Rain go back to sleep."
"But you promised I could go today." I protested, climbing onto my parents bed and tapping my mother. "Please can we go?"
Mum ignored me so I crawled over her, earning a grunt, and nudged Dad. "Daddy I want to go now!"
"Rain just go back to bed!" Dad shouted irratably, his breath wafted into my face and I picked up the smell of that drink he always had. What was it called again? I scanned my mind until I finally found the answer. Beer!
I felt stung at my father's outburst but quickly recovered. "Fine." I mumbled and jumped off the bed and raced out of the room.
If they won't take me, I'll go alone!
I quickly changed from my pyjamas into my favourite blue dress and jogged downstairs. I looked around for the key to the main door and saw it on the dining room table. I pulled out a chair and climbed onto it, trying to reach the keys. The downside of being 8 years old was that I could never reach high places. But I managed to grab the key and raced to the front door. I put the key in and turned the handle. The door swung open, letting in the morning sunlight. I smiled softly and bounded out of the house, leaving the door wide open.

Thanks to the signs around my neighbourhood which showed me exactly where the pizzaria was, I made it there in no time.
As I entered through the big main doors, I was greeted by an onslaught of other kids my age. They raced around carrying pizza slices in their hands. Their parents sat at tables, watching them play.
I felt a wave of shyness creep over me. I wasn't used to being in crowds. My parents never took me places, so I wasn't that social.
I made my way down the hallway, glancing at the many posters as I went. I had never been to this place before. It had opened a week ago and I had seen it advertised everywhere.
I saw a poster with a picture of a bear, a bunny, a duck and a scary looking fox. Underneath the pictures it said in big bold letters,
Freddy Fazbear's Pizzaria.
I shrugged and continued on. I heard singing as I got closer to what looked like a stage and I narrowed my eyes.
I pushed past a man, who looked to be in his early 20s, to get closer to the stage but it seemed that people don't like it when other people push. The man grabbed onto my shoulder and twirled me to face him. "Watch it, kid." He hissed. I stayed silent, studying him closely. He looked weird. He wore a purple shirt and dark purple jeans. He even had purple highlights in his hair. And I thought purple was a girl's colour... I thought silently.
"Stop staring." He pushed me away from him and I yelped as I fell against the legs of another person.
I turned around to see a girl who looked around the same age as the boy. She glared at the man, "Vincent! Say sorry."
"But sis-" The man tried to say, but the girl shook her head and laid a gentle hand on my shoulder.
"You're about to try and get that night shift job here. If you upset children, I'm not sure the manager will allow you in. Just say sorry." She repeated, glaring at Vincent.
"Fine." Vincent muttered. "Sorry." He flashed me a glare of hatred afterward and I shrank away, darting further into the crowd of children.
Why is he here? He is scary... Then I shrugged. Well, I guess I'll never see him again anyways.
I turned my attention from the purple man and looked up at the stage. On it were the same bear, bunny and duck I had seen from the poster. The bear held a microphone to his face as he sang a song. I found myself humming to the upbeat tune.
After a little while, I got bored and looked elsewhere. I came across a large box. I saw a crowd of kids by the box, yelling at it. "We want gifts! We want gifts!"
Eventually, the box suddenly opened and a scary-looking puppet popped out, holding a stuffed teddy bear. It looked like the bear from the stage.
Immediately, kids went to grab the teddy and the puppet quickly hid back in his box, leaving the kids to argue over who got the bear.
I approached the box as the crowd of kids were called away by their parents and tapped on it softly. "Hello?" I called. Immediately, the lid opened and the same puppet emerged. Up close, he was quite tall.
"Hello." The puppet replied with a smile. "Who are you?"
I was surprised the puppet could speak, and with such a clear voice as well. I stammered, "Uh- Um. My name i-is Rain."
"Nice to meet you Rain." The puppet smiled softly and glanced around. "Where are your friends?"
"I don't have any friends." I replied with a frown.
"Really? Oh that's too bad. Well, don't worry any longer because I'm your friend now!" The puppet grinned and stuck out a hand. His long, pointy fingers brushed my arm and I raised my hand to shake his.
"Okay..." I whispered, confused.
"Why don't you go see Balloon Boy. He gives out balloons and is always glad to meet a new person!" The puppet crouched down and the lid to the box began to close. "Oh, and I'm Marionette."
"Erm.. Bye Marionette.." I whispered.
