Chapter 14

We made it to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza in a few quick minutes. I was surprised we were still so close to it. It would probably be a 10-20 minute walk from the apartment.

Maybe I could do what I used to do. I could walk there on my own.

I tried to memorise the way we went from the car window but I got confused with all the twists and turns we had to take to get there. In the end, I just relied on Dani to take me there when I wanted.

We parked and walked through the doors side by side. I breathed in the familiar pizza smell and felt a small smile reach my lips. It had only been a few days, but I missed it so much. I let go of Dani's hand and walked hurriedly to my favourite spot in the pizzeria; Kid's Cove.

Dani ran after me as I squeezed between crowds of kids and adults. "Rain! Get back here!" I could hear absolute fear in her voice and I hesitated.

"What?" I questioned, looking back at her. Dani pointed in front of me.

"Creepy dude ahead!" Dani squealed as she fought to push past a crowd of kids.

"Huh?" I narrowed my eyes and spun around to see the same hoodie guy standing at the end of the hall. His gaze was on me, his eyes lit up in what looked like joy.

I looked behind myself, praying that he was just looking at someone behind me. But to my dismay, no one was looking in his direction except me.

When I turned back to the hoodie guy, I glared at him. I wasn't not in the mood for games. He constantly followed me around this place. Why?

I stalked past him as quickly as possible, my angry gaze stuck on him. But a boy ran into me, shoving me against the strange hoodie guy. I felt his hand brush against my neck as he pushed me away with a grunt. "Get off me!"

His voice seemed to trigger something and I saw images in my mind. It was a man wearing purple clothing, standing in the doorway of an unknown room... The decaying face of Freddy lay near my feet... A creepy screaming Chica... Searing pain in my leg... The final image was a fox leaping up in a blur of red...

Then, darkness.
