Jungkook woke to the sound of knocking on his door and groaned in irritation at having been woken up when he'd finally been able to sleep something he'd barely gotten during his time away in Seoul which was almost two weeks ago now. It was something that he was still barely getting which is why Jungkook burrowed himself under his blankets wrapping his pillow around his head to muffle the second round of knocks on his door which he was determined to ignore until they stopped so he could go back to sleep. Thankfully the knocking did stop and Jungkook began to drift back to sleep. However, it was short lived as the warmth that he'd been encased in was ripped from him replaced by the cold that his blanket had protected him from when they were yanked off him.
"What the fuck!" Jungkook ground out pissed as he shoved his pillow from around his head to see who it was that had woken him up so rudely and wanted to die. "Jimin?" Jungkook let out in surprise.
All the anger that he had felt had instantly left him at the sight of Jimin holding his blankets in his lap next to his bed. Jimin hadn't been in his room since the night that they had almost slept together. Jimin had also been actively avoiding him since he'd gotten back from Seoul after their initial reunion at the dock when he first returned something that Jungkook tried not to take personally.
Jimin's heart was beating quicker than normal as he sat there staring at Jungkook who was staring at him. Jimin could feel the heat that was trapped in the blankets against himself that they'd absorbed from Jungkook as he slept still bunched up in his lap. Jimin did his best to maintain eye contact and not let his eyes drift lower since Jungkook was only wearing boxer briefs, something he'd discovered when he'd yanked Jungkook's blankets off him.
Jungkook still holding eye contact with Jimin sat up in his bed. As soon as he did Jimin shoved the blankets back at him effectively covering up his lower half. Jungkook felt a smirk start to bend his lips but stopped it because he didn't want Jimin to leave. Jungkook ran his fingers through his hair not missing Jimin's eyes following the action. Jungkook cleared his throat.
"Is there a reason you woke me?"
"Jin wants everyone to eat dinner together."
"I would have been up by then."
"Jungkook, you do realize it is night already, right?"
Jungkook for the first time since waking and meeting Jimin's eyes looked around to see that the light flooding his room wasn't from the sun but the lamp that Jimin must have turned on before waking him. Did he really sleep his entire day away?
Jimin could see the look of confusion on Jungkook's face and couldn't stop himself from asking if Jungkook was okay.
"Is everything okay?"
Jungkook refocused on Jimin to answer his question which his first instinct was to lie and say that he was fine, but he didn't want to lie to Jimin.
"No. Not really."
Jimin sat there unsure how to respond to Jungkook's truthfulness, but Jungkook didn't give him the chance to as he stood up from his bed making Jimin roll back away from him.
"I'll be out in a minute."
Jimin just nodded and rolled himself out of Jungkook's bedroom closing his door the same time Jungkook's bathroom door closed. Jimin made his way back out into the kitchen where everyone else was seated waiting while he went to retrieve Jungkook.
"He still alive?" Hoseok asked jokingly as Jimin entered the kitchen.
Jimin nodded wordlessly as he rolled into his spot that he'd vacated when Seokjin told him to go get Jungkook. Jimin couldn't stop thinking about Jungkook's response to him asking him if he was okay. He was still thinking about it when Jungkook walked into the kitchen.
