Chapter 6

Jungkook after turning down a side alley came to a stop and placed the car in park turning off the ignition right after. Jungkook didn't say anything as he slipped out of the driver side of the SUV and pulled open the back door still on his side of the vehicle. Jungkook grabbed a hold of Jimin's chair pulling it towards himself. As he did, he was surprised at how light the chair was. He figured that the chair would have been heavier than it was. He set it on the ground and after scanning it for a second to make sure that the locks were engaged on the wheels Jungkook pressed his hand in the middle of the seat until it was flat, and he heard a click that told him the chair was secure for Jimin to sit in. He bent down and unlocked the wheels and wheeled the chair around the back of the vehicle and stopped when he was at the rear of the SUV on Jimin's side and relocked the wheels to keep the chair in place. Jungkook walked to the passenger door and pulled it open as much as he could being parked alongside the wall that bracketed the alleyway he'd pulled into.

"Sorry." Jungkook apologized knowing that Jimin hated others carrying him. "I have to pick you up." Jungkook explained as he bent down into the limited space the open door afforded him.

Jimin didn't say a word, understanding that the situation couldn't be helped and let Jungkook slip his arm underneath the two of his legs not feeling it as Jungkook did.

"Grab a hold of my neck and watch your head." Jungkook instructed Jimin as he leaned into Jimin's space further.

Jimin twisted his torso raising his arms wrapping them around Jungkook's neck the same time Jungkook wrapped his other arm around Jimin's back Jungkook's fingers clutching Jimin's left side securely as Jungkook lifted Jimin from the passenger seat. Jimin tucked himself into Jungkook's neck so he wouldn't hit his head as Jungkook sidled with Jimin in his arms out of the space between the open passenger door and the SUV. As he stood upright, Jimin removed himself from his tucked position. Jimin let go of his hand that was clasped with his other that was attached to his arm that was wrapped around Jungkook's neck still and twisted in Jungkook's hold. Jungkook felt one of Jimin's arm's leave from around his neck and before panic could set in that he was going to drop Jimin his arm was back in place around his neck followed by the sound of the passenger door shutting closed. Jungkook glanced at Jimin who was looking around, eyes settling on the sky before Jungkook looked to his side as he carried Jimin to his chair. Once at the chair Jungkook lowered Jimin into the seat.

"Thanks." Jimin said quietly as he let go of Jungkook.

"Do you want me to push you or ...?" Jungkook asked, letting the question hang in the air.

Jungkook knew that Jimin was big on wheeling himself and didn't like it when people pushed his chair just like he didn't like people picking him up.

"Can you." Jimin looked down at his lap. "I, um, don't." Jimin stopped hoping that Jungkook understood, not wanting to have to voice that he needed help because he was unfamiliar with the environment, they were in.

Jungkook understood the rest of Jimin's unspoken sentence and without replying stepped behind Jimin's chair and unlocked the wheels and began pushing Jimin walking the two of them down the short alleyway that Jungkook had parked in. Jungkook's stomach growled again when the smell of tteokbokki reached his nose. He could tell that Jimin smelt it too, Jimin inhaling deeply. Jungkook grinned holding back a chuckle when Jimin did it again Jimin not realizing that he was sniffing the air the closer they got to the door. Jungkook stopped at the door which was closed and stared at it wondering what the easiest way to get Jimin up the step that the door sat on was.

"Backwards. I can hold the door open while you pull me through. It will be easier to go over the step that way as well." Jimin spoke reading Jungkook's mind when he glanced at his reflection in the tinted door.
