"Does he have panic attacks often?" Jungkook asked as he watched Namjoon take Jimin's vitals for the second time in the last twenty minutes.
"His last one was six months ago." Namjoon spoke as he wrote down Jimin's vitals in the chart he kept which thankfully were within normal range despite him passing out and not waking up yet. "He's never passed out from them before though."
Jungkook didn't acknowledge the underhanded congratulations that Namjoon's tone implied. Instead Jungkook focused on Jimin and how different he looked asleep versus awake. The Jimin that he met downstairs was sharp and angry accompanied by icy glares. The Jimin laying on the bed was all soft features making him look younger than even him. Jungkook knew that Jimin was older than him by two years putting Jimin at 25 to his 23. Something he'd learned from Taehyung.
"I probably should have warned him about his parent's plan." Namjoon sighed as he sat at the end of Jimin's bed by his feet facing Jungkook. "About you."
"Do you think that would have made a difference?" Jungkook asked already knowing the answer.
"No." Namjoon sighed. "He would still have been completely against it."
"Exactly what I thought." Jungkook stated plainly.
"Even so, he likely wouldn't have had a panic attack." Namjoon frowned as he glanced at Jimin before turning his sights back onto Jungkook. "By the way, I meant to ask. How do you know Jin?"
"He is my dietician. Well, was. Before I quit."
"Ah." Namjoon hummed. "So, you were the person that he went back to Seoul for every month to have a consult with."
"Yeah. We did monthly in person and the rest was done via telephone or email. Sometimes if I wasn't getting the results, I needed during my training we would video chat."
Namjoon nodded with pursed lips thinking about whether to ask Jungkook what it was he did before he came here to be Jimin's live-in companion.
"I was a professional boxer." Jungkook supplied reading Namjoon's question in his furrowed features.
Namjoon nodded his head. He wasn't sure if Jungkook was the Jeon Jungkook that had won the middleweight boxing championship or not. He didn't know too much about boxing since it wasn't his thing, but it was Yoongi's thing. Yoongi when Jungkook had won the middleweight title wouldn't shut up about it for weeks going on and on about how crazy good the kid was. Namjoon was sure that Yoongi was going to shit himself when he found out that Jungkook was here. Yoongi's reaction would confirm whether he is the Jungkook Namjoon suspects he is. But his more pressing question was why Jungkook was even here. Which really didn't make sense to Namjoon. Jungkook being here.
"Why are you here? This isn't exactly the same as boxing."
"For some reason I doubt that." Jungkook spoke as he stood up.
Namjoon cracked a smile. He supposed in a way Jungkook was right. Jimin delt blows just with his mouth instead of his fists.
"I'll be downstairs. I highly doubt he will want me here when he wakes up."
"Probably not." Namjoon agreed as he watched Jungkook pick up the dining table chair and disappear down the stairs.
Namjoon sat there for a while before he once again checked Jimin's vitals. Jimin had been out for close to forty minutes now. Namjoon tried not to worry too much since he knew that it took longer for some to come too after feinting from a panic attack. His worry was mostly assuaged by the fact that Jimin's vitals were stable every time he checked them. He was sure that Jimin, being more tired than normal today, had something to do with him still not coming too. Namjoon could tell that Jimin was tired when he entered his room this morning. Plus, there was the fact that Jimin had accepted his help getting dressed something he hadn't done in months even though Namjoon offered daily. Namjoon suspected that Jimin's depression was getting worse to the point that it was manifesting physically. Frowning, Namjoon brushed Jimin's hair from his forehead with a sigh which directly after he did Jimin began to finally stir.
