A/N:
Sorry for the delay in updating. I had a tendonitis flare up that delayed my doing so. I hope that those of you waiting for this update enjoy it. I do want to give a TW for mentions of violence and murder.
Jimin stared across the small conference table at the two people that he knew were Jungkook's parents. There was no way you couldn't tell Jungkook wasn't their son, being the perfect mix of the two of them physically. And for some reason it pissed Jimin off because they didn't deserve to look like Jungkook. They hadn't deserved Jungkook. Or Junghyun despite Jimin never meeting him.
Juwon shifted in his seat looking across the table at the stranger, who when he first walked in, thought was the lawyer that he'd been in touch with after finding out his oldest son had died. However, when he saw an additional two men walk in the room, talking lowly amongst themselves, dressed in suits, he knew the man across from him who wasn't dressed in a suit, couldn't be the lawyer.
"Who the hell are you?" Juwon finally asked, irritated by the look the stranger was giving him.
"Who I am doesn't matter." Jimin answered.
Juwon chuckled glancing at his wife, Hayoon, next to him, before he turned his attention to the lawyer sat next to the still unknown man. Juwon dropped his smile as he stared at the lawyer.
"I didn't come here all the way from Busan for stupid games. Where is the money that we were told we'd receive?"
Jimin's teeth ached with how tightly he was clenching his jaw at Jungkook's father's greed. Jimin felt his forearm squeezed lightly and looked to his right catching Duhan's eyes. Jimin's jaw relaxed a bit, at least to the point it was at least no longer hurting. Jimin nodded to Duhan and resettled his gaze on Jungkook's father as he lifted the envelope that was sat on his lap underneath the table, they all sat around.
Juwon watched as the stranger placed an envelope on top of the table. Juwon itched to reach out figuring that it was the money worth just shy of the 700 million won that he knew was left to his youngest son, Jungkook, from his oldest son, Junghyun's, will. Jimin could see how much the man wanted to snatch the envelope from him his hands twitching. However, before he could slide the envelope over to the sorry excuse of a human being, he deemed Jungkook's father to be, Duhan grabbed the envelope from his hands. Duhan ignored the quizzical look that Jimin was giving him as he opened the envelope and saw the amount of money it contained. Duhan rehomed the money into the envelope, and shifted in his seat till he was opening the backpack that was attached to the back of Jimin's wheelchair. When he had finished zipping it up, he stood from his chair and pulled Jimin's chair from beneath the table and began wheeling him towards the door. Jimin was confused, not understanding what was going on. Why was Duhan leading him out of the office? Before he could ask him though, Jungkook's father was up and out of his chair blocking their exit.
"I don't know who you are, but you aren't leaving till I get what is in that envelope."
Jimin once again didn't get to respond because Duhan spoke up first.
"If you want to leave this office alive." Duhan locked gazes with the man that he had learned about before the meeting. "You will go sit down and wait for my return."
Juwon felt something he had never felt before when he met the man's eyes, fear. It was that foreign feeling that had him going back to his seat and doing as the man suggested.
Jimin's heart was pounding as Duhan led him into the hallway and out of Jungkook's lawyer's office. As soon as he heard the door shut, Jimin twisted in his seat to look behind him at Duhan.
