Jimin woke up slowly to find his and Jungkook's legs intertwined as well as one of Jungkook's arms trapped under his lower back while the other, his tattooed one, was draped over his waist. They were both still naked, not having bothered to dress after cleaning up. Jimin still couldn't believe that Jungkook told him he loved him. While he loved Jungkook he never thought that he would love him back. There was no reason for him to. Even with him thinking that he knew Jungkook would say otherwise if he heard him say so. He'd likely tell him that there was no reason for him not to love him.

Jimin brushed his negative thoughts aside as he slid his left hand from beneath his cheek his fingers going to Jungkook's shoulder where the sleeve of his tattoos started. Gently Jimin traced the tattoos one by one admiring the designs that were all over the place from flowers, animals, to some phrases mixed in. There was a particular phase where Jimin's fingers lingered on located right above Jungkook's forearm, You Get What You Give. The slogan was the only one that was devoid of color in that section of art. Jimin wondered what it meant since the other phrases were more direct and to the point.

"It was something my brother used to say." Jungkook spoke voice still hoarse from sleep.

Jimin's fingers stilled in their tracing his eyes drifting upward from Jungkook's arm to meet his sleepy ones.

"What does it mean?" Jimin asked as his eyes trailed back down to the tattoo along with his fingers picking up their tracing again.

Jungkook rolled over till he was flat on his back pulling Jimin on top of him after he did. Jungkook shifted Jimin's legs to straddle him.

"He firmly believed that whatever you put out into the universe is what it gave back to you. If you worked hard, treated people right, helped those around you then you'd be rewarded for that hard work, people would treat you well, and help would come to you just as you helped those around you. You get what you give."

The thought behind the tattoo made Jimin shift uncomfortably. Because if that was how the world truly worked then what does that say about him. About why he ended up paralyzed. Did he not work hard enough, treat people well enough, help enough people around him to not end up paralyzed?

"Hey." Jungkook called softly when he saw Jimin's eyes take on a faraway look. "Jimin. Look at me." Jungkook ran his fingers through Jimin's hair that cascaded back in place effortlessly. "It's not why you are where you are in your life right now. You're here because of some asshole who ran a red light as you crossed the street. No other reason. Do you hear me?"

Jimin swallowed down the lump in his throat blinking away at his need to cry before he nodded his head.

"How do you always know?" Jimin wondered aloud.

"Because while our situations are different, I understand what it's like to wonder if you did enough. If Junghyun did enough and whether he hadn't and that's why I lost him, and he passed away."

"How did" Jimin stopped himself from asking how Junghyun passed away, but Jungkook knew what he was asking regardless.

"He had Glioblastoma. We found out right after I won the title because he fainted in the locker room after we made it back into it from the ring." Jungkook's eyes burned more aggressively as he explained the reason behind his brother's death for the first time to anyone. "He was gone within two weeks of us finding out." Jungkook let out a trembling breath as a tear trailed from his eye down into his hairline. "He was there one day and gone the next."

"Jungkook." Jimin brushed away additional tears that fell from Jungkook's eyes. "I'm so sorry."

"I miss him so much Jimin. He was why I started boxing. He was always there with me through every training session, every match, every win. Now, I have no one in my corner. I'm all alone in that ring now. And I just can't. It's why I quit. I just couldn't bear being inside that ring without him by my side." Jungkook broke down.
