"WE DID IT! HAHAHA! THIS IS THE OTHER HALF OF SANS' SOUL!"

XChara grinned widely as a half of the original Sans' soul floats above his hand, shining upon him. "Now I have a better idea. . . Let's make our OWN UNIVERSE!" XChara suggested rather proudly as he continued to smile at the thought of a better future for him (and Cross too but whatever). "We don't need to live in a used, boring timeline," XChara smiled as he continued his little talk. "We can make this more interesting. . . but first, let's absorb this soul."

"Are you ready?" XChara asked someone else. XChara soon turned into a gloomier looking version of Sans. His name is Cross.

With dead-looking eye sockets, Cross replied, ". . . yeah. . . "

Cross flashed back into XChara, his other half (for the time). "What's the matter?" He asked Cross with slight suspicion. "Are you. . . ?"

He flashed back into Cross. "I'm not so sure about this, Chara. . ." he replied. "Ink and his friend tried to help us. . . Sans refused to fight. . . Why do we have to do this?" He was overwhelmed by the current situation.

XChara soon flashed back in. "Are you afraid I'll break free?" He questioned Cross. Cross reverted back, looking quite down in the dumps. A ghostly version of XChara appeared beside him. "I made you a promise, 'Sans.' I promised to be your friend. . ." XChara told him, reminding him of those days. Those god-awful days. "Those dark days are over."

Cross clenched his hands to the chains as XChara continued talking. "You gave up a long time ago, but not me. I'll help you rebuild the world we lost."

"We deserve a new hope. It's what they would have wanted. . ." Cross thought of those who he once called his friends. The image of him walking beside a human child and an older looking human with his friends waiting in the end popped up in his mind, giving him a lonely feeling of nostalgia. "And it is also what they would have wanted for you, too." XChara said, smiling at the thought of being reminded of someone he viewed as an elder sibling.

Cross mentally sighed. "Let's just do it."

Cross absorbed half of Sans' soul. He recovered 0.5 HP.

Cross breaks free from the chains, standing back up as non-existent wind begins to blow. A new soul lies within him.

Sans was now stuck in between two entities from a completely different world than him. He had so many questions in his mind right after the sudden events. Why did the colorful skeleton look like him? And why did the human remind him of a human from his world? This was too much for a lazy guy like him.

Plus, he already has enough going on.

"So. . . your name is Ink, huh?" Sans began to break the awkward silence as the three sat together in silence.

". . . Yup. Nice to meet ya," Ink replied as he suddenly found the grass to be interesting.

[Name] lifted their head up only to see Ink looking rather sadly at the grass.

"And your name is [Name], right?" Sans asked them. [Name] hummed an 'uh huh' while nodding their head yes as they also found the grass to be an entertainment.

Ink sighed sadly. "I-I'm so sorry, Sans," he began apologizing to the blue skeleton. "I never thought any of this could happen. . ."

"I'm sorry too, Sans," [Name] joined in on the apology. "If I came in sooner, perhaps we could have had a chance to retrieve your soul back."
