"YOU LOVE ME?" I ASKED UNABLE TO BELIEVE MY EARS. SHE BLUSHED AT MY words but didn't look away instead brushing her fingertips over my cut on my forehead that I didn't realise that I had.
"Belle?" I groaned as she pulled my head closer until she was brushing her lips lightly over mine.
"Yes alright I love you. God knows why sometimes-" she joked but I tickled her bare waist making her laugh and try and wriggle away but I kept her close.
"Want to say that again?" I murmured heavily, lips brushing hers as I spoke.
"Hmm...No. Just kiss me."
"Now that I can do," I muttered just before she sucked my bottom lip into her mouth.
Our positions were slightly awkward, giving me a stiff neck, and I was just about to right that when footsteps rapidly approaching caught my attention. Pulling back sharply despite her objections, I glanced her over to make sure she was covered since I didn't want anyone to see her but me and it wouldn't be good to give them any other reasons to suspect. Satisfied I turned towards the door, angling myself in a protective manner without even realising I was doing it.
"What is it Jason?" Belle enquired tugging on my arm lightly.
"We have company, don't worry I'm not leaving." I added as her fingers tightened their grasp whilst trying desperately to keep my eyes from not shifting back into their wolf form.
The door burst open and guards I vaguely recognised, but had not had any real encounters with, entered followed by Carol who for once wasn't looking so put together.
"Jason step away from the doctor." A gruff guard said and noticing their fidgety feet and shifting, assessing eyes I realised that these were the guards that were sent for the men I put unconscious.
"No, I'm staying with her...until she's better." I said slowly struggling to not growl as they dared come closer.
"It was not a request, get away from her! Down on the floor, hands behind back. We won't ask again." I breathed harshly out as the guards' hands hovered over their Tasers or batons.
"NO!" I whisper yelled, gripping the metal frame feeling the metal give slightly under my hands leaving an imprint. My heart raced as I prepared to teach them a lesson for trying to get between mates. I only saw red and the weak spots that I could use to my advantage to render them unconscious at least. My shoulders hunched as I prepared to lunge when a sudden calming touch halted me in my tracks. My wolf purred as Belle stroked my bare back, unseen to the rest of the room. Shaking my head to clear the lingering red haze, I leaned closer to Belle loving how her legs encased either side of me since she had sat up. Hands resting on her thighs, my desire for her was at war with the need to get rid of the threat that the guards possessed.
I growled under my breath as one of the guards took a step closer only for him to stagger back several steps from my stare. Belle gripped onto me harder and as her scent encased me, I broke eye contact with the stupid human who looked like he was going to piss his pants. Pathetic I thought as I smirked.
"Doctor please move away from this man, he is very dangerous." Another guard said trying a different tact. "Are you hurt? Did he hurt you?"
I snarled at that, lip pulling up at the thought. I would never hurt her: how dare he think that.
"I would never. I was treating her for what those bastards did where she is meant to be protected in this place. I am not going anywhere, you cannot make me."
"Get down on the floor now!" The slightly podgy guard in the front spat, his hand grasping the Taser handle and starting to pull it from its sheath. I eyed him with contempt, as if a little electricity could stop me, it would only tingle for a few seconds. I growled once more as the trio approached as I felt my mate tremble against me in a way that definitely wasn't in pleasure. Her grip was the only thing that was stopping me from attacking them.
