Game 115

President Isadora Gaul was now aged 43, and she still looked elegant and young. She held a pink envelope in her hands, as pink was the color of the Capitol. She slit the envelope open with a small knife, and read the note inside.

"As the intelligence tests were already done in each District a week prior, the top scoring female aged 12-18 and the top scoring male aged 12-18 will be reaped for the Hunger Games. The top fifteen will stand with them for the youths to be more surprised when two of the thirty is reaped."

The intelligence tests were scored out of 150 questions, with each question being worth one point. There was a bonus question worth 5 points, based on the District citizen's answer. The tests had already gone back to the Capitol, and the top fifteen females and top fifteen males were informed of their selection. The Capitol already knew who the smartest was, and had two slips of paper with the names of the most intelligent youth who would participate in the Games. Each slip of paper was folded up and sealed, and placed in the bowls, one per bowl.

District 8

As Felix Bianchi (Game 114) was considered too fragile to perform a reaping, Oceanus Vallorie (Game 114) was asked to do them instead, and he kindly agreed.

District 8's questions on the test were about fabric, sewing, and fashion.

Oceanus stood in front of the female bowl, where he picked up the slip of paper inside of it. He broke the seal with a penknife, and read aloud the name of fifteen year old Chenilla Webb. A scream of pure horror was heard as a girl with blonde curly hair and blue eyes was brought to the stage. Oceanus announced that Chenilla had scored a 152. Chenilla shook Oceanus's hand, and was crying.

Oceanus didn't spare a second glance at Chenilla, as he plucked a slip of paper from the male bowl. He read aloud the name of eighteen year old Wigan Freeman. A tall, ebony skinned male with a large afro of hair was taken to the stage, and he shook Oceanus's hand. Wigan had scored a 154, the highest score for District 8 that year.

Chenilla was visited by her older brother, who hugged her and talked about how horrible it was that she had to fight. She cried in his arms, before being taken to the train.

Wigan was visited by his father and two younger brothers, and he promised to try and return, before being taken to the train.

On the train, Chenilla and Wigan met their mentors, Styla Levine and Cambric Ministrom (Game 109) taught the two how to throw knives, although Wigan was better at throwing a spear. Once at the train platform, Chenilla and Wigan were taken straight to the apartment.

The next day at 12 in the afternoon, Cambric turned on the television to show District 3's reaping, saying that this District would contain the smartest tributes.

District 3

District 3's questions were based on electronics.

Oceanus reached into the female bowl, removing the name of seventeen year old Electra McAllister, who had scored a perfect 155 on her test. An annoyed looking, very pretty girl with long red hair, blue eyes, and freckles walked to the stage, and shook Oceanus's hand.

Oceanus then reached into the male bowl, removing the name of eighteen year old Spam Tucker. A tall, muscular young man with ebony skin and dark dreadlocks of hair walked to the stage, and shook Oceanus's hand. Spam had scored a 155, a perfect score.

Electra was visited by her parents and older brothers. She promised to return, and was then taken to the train.

Spam was visited by his younger sister, his wife, and his one year old son. He told them that he would try his best to return, before being taken to the train.
