Anakin tells Obi-Wan of his spiritual duel with his own dark side Darth Vader and the way Anakin describes it it sounded like it were a real reality as said it may have been in his head but Anakin's duel with Vader was real to him

Anakin: It was like a dream but it felt more real. That monster in my head was just more real as I looked in it's soulless eyes. I even felt the heat of it's lightsaber. And it was strong with the force even more in the dark side.
Obi-Wan: And you think you've it destroyed it? Does that mean you expelled the dark side out of you?
Anakin: I think so. But I'm wondering if it might reassemble. That demon....WAS me....in that vision Qui-Gon showed me that night. Could have Dooku had inner demons himself before he became a Sith?
Obi-Wan: I don't know. I never knew him closely till Jeinosis. Only times I knew him as a Jedi was what Qui-Gon and Master Yoda told me.
Anakin: Even so....my rage boosts might not be a problem anymore.
Obi-Wan: We'll still have to meditate just to be sure.
Anakin: Indeed.
