Ten months later...

Haein

"Give Amara to me." My father in law yelled. Today is her dedication day, and they dropped by at our house so that we'll go together to the church.

I handed Amara to him.

Ten months after the Couple Serial Murder Case, things had turned out very well for the family Jisoo and I started to build.

We both filed a month long vacation to prepare for a simple wedding, got married two weeks after we fixed our licenses, then another two weeks of taking away Jisoo from the entire world aka our honeymoon, though his dad was slandering me of it, expressing that I already claimed my honeymoon in advance. Little did I know, I was actually father approved beforehand since he already noticed some signs between us, he just did not anticipated the baby part, thus my punching session. But that session solidified my post as his son-in-law, as he acknowledged the great length I am willing to go for his daughter.

Resuming to our respective works after vacation, Jisoo and I thought we could commit to a long distance relationship but we failed just after two weeks of being apart.

I was going home to Jeju twice a week, Wednesdays, and then Friday to spend the entire weekend with them, but someone was not happy with our setup.

Amara. Our little baby dino.

On that whole month we took our leave, Jisoo was doing perfectly fine except for her hungry episodes every midnight, so we thought everything would be fine after. But after our return, Jisoo manifested terrible morning sickness, almost everyday. She's not feeling well most of the time, her mood swings doubled or rather intensified. At night, she would call me, crying for no reasons. Flying back to Jeju twice a week seem to be not enough, Jisoo requested a medical leave from Dra. Lim, and she filed an indefinite leave from work.

She herself can't even understand her emotions or rather her hormones. I know she's the workaholic type since the day I met her, she always love doing her job, she did not even have long leaves before even she was under Juveniles.

Senior Song granted her requested leave from Jeju Dongbu Police Station, and she moved in with me at our parental house. Three months later, we moved in to our new house, someone we can finally call our own home. Not a playhouse anymore. And officially, it's Mr. and Mrs. Jung.

That same week, our baby's gender reveal happened, and indeed she's a baby girl. Dad was the happiest among all of us, exaggerated as it seem, yes he is happier than me and Jisoo combined. The next day after the gender announcement, even before we can shop baby things for Amara, he had an entire baby's section delivered at home.

It was as if yesterday he punched me because her daughter was pregnant and just how the tables turned, his grand daughter was not even born yet, and he was splurging her already of things I am not sure a baby really needed. A lot of baby things for real.

It was even worst when Jisoo gave birth. It was like Jisoo and I don't exist anymore, and the three of them (Dad, Soohyun and Bum) almost wanted to live with us because of Amara. I was thinking if they were already conspiring to buy a house near us, their attachment to Amara were beyond words to explain.

A baby's power.

"Are you still feeling dizzy?" I asked Jisoo as she massaged her temple with her fingers. She was not feeling well when she woke up this morning. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel Amara's Christening.

My head turned on the other side of our living area when Amara cried out so loud. The three men at my front tried their best to stop her from her regular tantrums: a respectable Police Director doing baby talks as he tried to downsize his baritone voice to a cute little one to stop my baby from crying, my brothers in law, who were used to holding guns and bombs in their entire career, were carrying rattles and squishy toys, roleplaying as clowns or monkeys to make her happy.
