Jisoo
A slit on my belly. Jung's losing it.
He screamed so loud to stop him from harming us more, and I know that look of him, he's not even giving second thoughts of killing him. Given our situation, I'm sure he had more than one gun prepared before he even came here. I nodded heavily at him, convincing him not to make any impulsive decisions.
We both somehow anticipated this. On one of our 'survival sessions' inside the house, we actually practiced a hostage situation. It was done all for fun and play, never did we know it will happen for real.
I made another firm nod, and he was slowly keeping his shit together. His grip on the knife was so strong and I am holding my breath for a while.
Our baby. We must keep her safe.
Jung raised both his arms after throwing the gun feet away from him.
Our secret codes.
First sign, probe.
We'll be in a role play like, empathizing with him, acting like we were on his shoes.
"Why are you doing this? Why are you hurting me, the baby?" I stalled.
We need to understand what's triggering him. He experienced losing a wife and a baby before, why would he put couples in situations like what he had gone through.
He sneered at my question, smirking.
"I am not the father of your baby, you disgusting piece of shit. You cheated on me with that man." He spat disgustingly, pointing at Jung as 'that man.'
"Cheated?" I scowled, wondering what he meant. I tried to recall the previous police report when we were investigating him. Jung and I once again exchanged glances. His family's death.
Did he actually staged it?
Wife cheating. Him not being the father of my baby.
"I never cheated on you." I answered pretending to be his wife, gauging if our assumptions are right.
"Derange." Haein exclaimed as his forehead creased a hundred folds. He was trying to be calm but his eyes says otherwise. His eyes were now way beyond deadly. Examining myself covered with my own blood, I totally understand why.
I was always his triggering point.
But there's no backing out to this. Jung and I needed to face this to finally put an end to it and between the two of us, I am the one more rational and objective now.
"I am not stupid enough. You were sleeping with him and that baby was not mine. All cheaters like you deserve to die, all of you."
Another exchange of meaningful glances as if our minds were talking.
We tried to connect the dots. Just by the looks of it, we now fully understand.
Second sign, distract.
We need to shake him in full blast. It's time to reveal our cover.
"So it was you all along, that's why no matter how the police tried to look for a suspect, they can't find any." I whispered unbelievably. "You killed your wife and your unborn child and make it appear someone killed her."
"What are you saying?" He grunted to me like crazy. The knife was pursed harder against my neck and Jung took a step forward, jaws fully clenched. My hand signaled him to stop and secretly tap my left foot.
"You're not gonna kill another family tonight." I mumbled in between my heavy gasps.
"You, your husband and that baby in your tummy will die just like the first three." He hissed foolishly. "No one's gonna have a happy and complete family."
