I had to stop overthinking. Kimmy was right, we all have our advantages on this case: timeline, resources, skills. Not only if... the culprit is someone from our team. Or an accomplice within our team. Then that would mean the killer would be a step ahead of us.
So I need to be two steps ahead by not involving anyone from Jeju Dongbu Police Station. That means defying the rules.
This isn't me definitely. I've been through a lot of cases, my team had handled a lot of cases, and they were fully aware of the connections and strings that I could pull just to make things happen, just to get things done. But no matter how it was needed before, I always reiterate to them the importance of following the law and not breaking them, always abiding to them.
