Jisung kept tugging at Minho's cape, trying to place it perfectly. Pulling on it every once in a while, then going around him to check if it was right.

"You are such a perfectionist" Minho mumbled under his breath, like a low chuckle of admiration and disbelief. It had been 10 minutes now.

"You will be king. This is the day you've been waiting for your whole life." He said in a serious tone, as he always did, yet this time it seemed to really come from deep in him.

"It's what I've been told I should wait for..." Minho replied honestly, but then felt the burn of Jisung eyes on him.

"Does it mean nothing to you...?" He furrowed his brows.

"It means everything to me. For us." Minho took his hands calmly and took him to the window to look at the snow fall amongst the mountains. "There was a time I wanted to be king for peace...when I was very young. I simply wanted to make a difference, to stop the blood shed...but look at me now...I am about to declare war to the south."

"We are taking back what is m-...what is your throne."

"Everyone always has a reason for war. How can I hold my head high and bring men to the battlefield if I cannot even kill..."

"I...I don't know..." Jisung lowered his head calmly and adjusted Minho's cape one last time. "There..." he said. "You're all done."

Minho looked into the mirror and admired the fine detailing of the traditional silky blue clothes he wore. The cape was soft and silky, Jisung had guessed it to be a polar bear, but Minho had assured him it was simply from a albino deer.

"Blue always suited you more" the younger said, hiding a smile.

"Maybe...but then I suppose you own the colour red, and I blue"

They shared a smile before Minho stood by the door and closed his eyes.

"To your coronation..." jisung raised a glass of whine he had set aside and the older did the same.

"To being king..."

His own swords master had read out the lines of his people, the entire northern kingdom gathered in the thick walls of the castle. As much as it was cold outside, the inside was warm and filled with joy and candle lights.

Minho was leaning on one knee, head down as the older man pressed his fingers in white paint and simply traced a few stripes down from each of his eyes, thin lines. Minho then rose and smiled as Jisung stepped into the stage and took off his crown.

"To our rightful king." He spoke loud and clear, a hidden smile on his lips and a proud voice.

Minho lowered his head and jisung placed the crown amongst his hair strands, like it was meant to stay there. The younger stepped back and they tried to be as neutral as possible in front of the huge crowd that had gathered, but failed by cracking a short smile.

"To the king of the north!" Jisung raised his hand and every one in the room yelled in at the same time. Even Nira was clapping and yelled as best as she could with her soft voice.

"I'm so proud of you.." Jisung whispered so no one but Minho could hear.

"To the king!" Hyunjin screamed. He could see Felix crying from the side, proud of his closest of friends.

Soon the beer was brought, it was the drink of choice of the north, a specialty actually. Jisung did not seem to like it, he kept taking small sips and throwing the rest in random plants in the castle, pretending like he had finished his drink.

Jisung might have been serious and cold hearted, but he could never refuse an offering from his people. So for every cup he was handed, he thanked and pretended to drink it. After a couple of sips though. He could feel his whole body warming up, but Minho had to enjoy from far away in the room. The north was opened about same sex couples or relationships, but if word got out, they would lose the west, their people who do not support it. They would lose it all.

"I hear the plants around the room are drunk, we are trying to find a culprit" Minho said once he finally managed to get close to his lover.

"I do not like it." Jisung said in a low voice, looking at his drink.

"I know." Minho laughed, enjoying his expressions.

Then came a few northerns, going straight to Jisung and speaking in quite a thick accent of the north. Jisung nodded and answered as best as he could before they offered him another drink and left.

The younger stared at it and then at Minho in disbelief.

"We're gonna need more plants."

After the short gathering was done, the generals and commanders were summoned, all gathered in a room that had not been used in a long time. A meeting room with a round table, a map of their world on it.

"We have the support of the west completely, all we need is to send a raven and they will meet us to the battle. The northern army is small, but some of the best trained warriors are here. Together we can reclaim the south, save the city of ashes"

"We do not know how many soldiers the enemy holds against us. If we are even a few numbers few, we all die" one of the commanders said and jisung nodded, showing Minho he had already calculated everything.

"What should you have us do my lord?" Another asked and Minho could simply look at Jisung, who said it all in his eyes.

Minho got up and everyone followed.

"We tell the west to meet us three days from now, at dusk." Minho said and everyone agreed, so Jisung walked to the front and held a piece of paper between his fingers.

"Send the ravens..."

"We leave tonight."
