It was a three day trip to get to the northern castle and Minho and Jisung had barely any food in store, let alone any sleep. They rode out into the sun for hours, not once crossing anyone.

They were quiet, not even a word was spoken until they stopped at a river to take a small break.

Jisung watched the sun go down and shivered.

"Where do we sleep tonight?" It was already colder in this part of his lands.

"We should make a fire, find a hidden place"

"There are many mountains nearby, surely we will find something"

"Lead the way"

They rode out for a little while more before arriving at a cave entrance, completely deserted and empty.

They went inside and Jisung unfolded a blanket, thick and cozy, laying it down on the cold and mossy floors.

Minho had also brought one quickly, even thicker and filled with warmth.

They set it all down and Minho laid down as soon as he could, tossing Jisung some bread.

"Who wants our heads?" Minho finally asked, impatient.

"I don't know..."

"It's happened twice now, someone trying to harm you and me..."

"Minho I don't know what you want me to tell you"

"I need to know more"

"I've already told you, my father has hidden everything from me for years, he could have an enemy and I wouldn't know"

Minho nodded and sighed, getting in his warm blanket. Jisung shivered again and held his arms together.

"You're cold"

"Obviously."

"Come closer" Minho spoke and Jisung glared before toning down his eyes.

"Why should I?"

"Just come here...we can share the two rugs"

Jisung did as he said and buried his head in Minho's blanket, still keeping a safe distance.

"So soft..." he mumbled.

"It's from dire wolves of the very north, even farther then where I grew up. It used to be a ritual for kings to bring down the beast..."

"Have you done it?" Jisung asked, the small light from their fire lighting his face.

"No, I am no king yet"

"Then will you?" He facial expression was softer when they were this close to each other, less cold.

"I don't want to. They are a beautiful breed, I think it's a shame to harm them. I only keep the blanket because I do not want a life to go to waste..."

"Admirable..." he mumbled. "I've always wanted to see a wolf, in the sun lands, we only see coyotes"

"If you get the chance to see one, consider yourself lucky that his pack isn't around" Minho smirked and watched the fire die down slowly.

"I will..." he said shortly and laid on his back, a small puff of air leaving his lungs.

"Two more days..."

"Yes...two days"

They woke up the next morning and left without a word, crossing rows on rows of waterfalls.
