"Jasmin," Winter whispered. "I think someone's following us."

They were currently in the midst of the SandWings that were buying the things in the markets. Jasmin could hear the producers yelling all sorts of ridiculously impossible things.

"This cactus juice can heal a venomous wound in seconds!"

"Liar! It's the same as any other type of cactus juice!"

"Rocks from the moons! Rocks from the moons! Only for a price of two-thousand rubies!"

"Freshly caught crocodile stew! Made with the fattest and young crocodiles in the Mud Kingdom!"

Jasmin looked back, and saw a group of suspicious-looking SandWings with gold-embroidered necklaces around their necks, led by three dragons with skulls tattooed in their scales.

"That's the Talons of Power," Winter breathed. "Vulture's gang of SandWings, who help him do evil things. Sirocco must have told them about you."

"Oh, for all the moons, why didn't I kill him when I had a chance?" Jasmin muttered.

"Because that's wrong," Winter said unexpectedly. "You shouldn't kill anyone, no matter how evil they are. Every dragon has a family or friend that cares about them. You shouldn't rip that all away from them. Everyone has feelings, you know."

"Sure." Jasmin waved him off, but her mind was whirling.

Is what I'm doing wrong? It's true, isn't it? I'm just hurting everyone's feelings. No one likes having a loved one being ripped away from their life.

"Look what you were like when you thought your father was dead," Winter continued, his blue eyes sharp with persistence. "Look at what I was like when I thought my brother was killed by the NightWings. We both hated everyone, didn't we?"

"And Barb," Jasmin added to herself. "He was only trying to kill me because I killed his brother, wasn't he?"

"Maybe it's time for you to change," Winter suggested. "Maybe you could use your skills for battle, yes, but stop killing dragons for money."

"Maybe," Jasmin agreed reluctantly. "I'm not a cold-blooded killer, you know. I know what pain is like. I suffered far too much of that."

"Maybe you brought it all on yourse-"

"Well, well, well. Look who we have here." Jasmin whipped around to see that the group of SandWings had caught up to them. They'd pushed her and Winter to a narrow alley without them knowing.

"My grandson Sirocco told me about a certain SandWing dragonet and her companion," The largest of them all, who Jasmin guessed was Vulture, growled. "How they'd beat him to almost certain death.

"But he survived, and you'll have to deal with me and my Talons of Power."

A/N: I'm sorry but it's getting busy for me and I'm running out of ideas. There might be some late updates 😫
