"I'll come with you," Winter said immediately.

"Why can't it wait till later?" Kinkajou protested. "I mean, I also want to go and everything, because it'd been FOREVER since we had an adventure, but what about Moon?"

"You guys can go visit Moon and Glory," Jasmin said. "Who said I'll let you come with me? It's not even an adventure; I'm just going to ask Qibli for some advice."

"Advice? From Qibli? I don't think so," Winter snorted. "It'll be stupid advice."

"Well, I need to go, so I'm going to pack some weapons and head on to the Kingdom of Sand." Jasmin patted Eclipse on the head before spreading her wings and preparing to fly.

"Fine! I'm going to say hi to Moon, alright?" Kinkajou grinned before swooping down towards the NightWing village. "See you soon!"

"You'd better go, too," Jasmin called to Winter, before launching herself off the branch.

"I'm coming with you, you know," The IceWing shouted, flying after her.

"Then you'd better try catching up to me first." Jasmin laughed, and dived towards the treehouse where she and Euphoria lived, with Winter crashing through the undergrowth after her.

"Mother, are you here?" Jasmin peered inside. The treehouse was empty. She guessed that Euphoria had went fruit-gathering, one of her favorite things to do.

"No one here?" Winter landed loudly behind her. "Get what you need and let's go."

"Guess what I'm doing now, you big lump of ice." Jasmin opened a chest at the corner of the treehouse, besides a vine hammock that she barely used. Inside were daggers, knives, bottles of poison, and silver throwing stars.

"Woah." Winter peered inside. "Are these all yours?"

"You think my vegetarian mother uses these?" Jasmin rummaged around and took out a knife with a sharp edge and curved blade. She tested its weight; polished obsidian, by the looks of it. The pure black blade was smooth, and the wicked curve at the end would cut a dragon painfully.

"Only one?" Winter eyed the knife. "You think that's enough for the Scorpion Den?"

"Don't forget that I work there," Jasmin reminded. "Though I'm taking a short break until my wounds heal. I'll be fine though, with my camouflage."

"Hm. Alright." His gaze flitted from her broken arm to her scarred neck.

"Quit worrying, I'm in a hurry right now." She let golden yellow cover her scales, her eyes turning pitch-black. Jasmin grabbed a black cloak from the wall and clipped the fastening around her neck, the dark hood covering her face. She made sure that it covered her broken arm, and tied the knife to the inside of the cloak.

"Don't I need a weapon too?" Winter asked. "Or a camouflage?"

"I won't let anyone hurt you." Jasmin threw him a dark blue cloak. "And put this on if you want. Those scales might be a bit too shiny in the Scorpion Den."

"I've been there before," Winter grumbled, putting on the cloak with a swish.

"Let's stop wasting time and go." Jasmin beat her wings and took off into the air towards the tunnel.

I hope Qibli knows enough about curing nightmares about the past, with a childhood like his.
