The Blood War
Chapter eight, make me yours
----------------------

-1919
Birmingham, England

Milly and Tommy made their way back to the Garrison to see Arthur sitting in his office. "Oh fuck" Tommy said. They walked slowly over to the office. "Arthur?" Tommy asked, leaning against the door frame. Arthur was face down on the table with his head covered by his arms. "Arthur get up" Milly said. Arthur still didn't move.

Tommy walked over to him and pulled his head up by his hair. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Arthur asked. "Are you really in a position to be asking that?" Milly asked. "What's wrong with you?" Tommy asked. Arthur didn't speak. As he was about to take a drink from his bottle of beer on the desk, Tommy snatched it from his hand.

"Asshole" Arthur said. "Arthur seriously, what the fuck is wrong?" Tommy asked. "I don't have to tell you shit" Arthur said. Tommy took grasp of Arthur's hair and bashed his head against the desk. "Tommy Jesus!" Milly shouted. "Wanna tell me now?" Tommy said through his teeth. "No" Arthur said, Tommy hit his head off the table again. Milly stood in between the two.

"You fuck off from his head, and you tell him what's wrong or you are going to suffer a fucking concussion" Millicent said. "Paige left" Arthur said, taking his beer back. "That's it?" Tommy asked, "your fucking girlfriend or whatever the fuck she was to you left?" Tommy asked.

"Shit" Millicent said. "Milly, I hope you know that means your back staying with Grace" Arthur said before taking a mouthful of beer. "Fuck" Milly said. "Arthur, go home, clean yourself up, check your kit, check your weapons" Tommy said, walking out of the room. Arthur finally got up out of his chair and leaned on the desk. "Why?" He asked, rubbing his eyes.

"What's going on?" Arthur shouted confused. His voice echoed through the building as it was only the three of them in it. "We're doing it today" Tommy said, walking towards the door. He exited leaving Milly and Arthur standing in the office room.

"Doing what today?" Milly asked confused. "You'll see" Arthur said, pushing passed her to grab his hat and coat. Tommy made his way to Charlie's house. He knocked the door. No answer. Knocked again. Still no answer. Tommy pounded on the door and finally a window opened. "Fetch the wagons Charlie!" Tommy shouted up at him, "it's today." Tommy turned and walked away into the streets.

He walked passed a herd of horses and into an alleyway where there was a big sheet. He pulled it off to show a car. Tommy then went to John and Esme's house. He heard John's son shout from inside the house but couldn't make out what it was. He pounded on the door because chances were John was asleep. But the door opened and he walked upstairs, and to his surprise, seen John and Esme going at it.

"John" Tommy said, "I told you to keep your doors locked, I could've been anyone." He picked up a pile of clothes on the floor and flung them at him. "Now get dressed, we're doing it today." "As a matter of fact he's doing me today" Esme said. "Make sure he's done you by nine, sharp" Tommy said, turning to walk out of the room.

"You should learn to knock" Esme said in a loud tone. "It's not a day for knocking, but I did and the door opened" Tommy's voice said from the stairs.

Polly was in the kitchen of the Shelby house and was praying. "Please lord, make this day pass well. Let none get hurt and make them that do, not Shelby's. Watch John because he has so many depending on him. Watch Arthur because he's likely to hurt himself as much as anyone else. And watch Thomas.." as she said that, Tommy walked in. "I know how he is, but what he does for us... I think" She finished and blessed herself with Tommy listening. "Amen" she turned around to see Tommy standing there.
