The Blood War
Chapter twelve, Don't leave me———————————

-1920
London, England

A few months after Robb's death and Funeral, Christian's twenty fifth year of ruling England was approaching faster and faster. Paige and James were acting very distant and Tara found a new friend in Apollo. Christian them made Apollo the squire of Tara, watching the woman he knew inside out all day everyday. "Paige-" Tara started, walking into Paige's room to see her sat at her desk.

She hadn't sat it in months. "Is this because of James?" She asked. "I just wanted to check up on him. I know how he is" Paige said, setting down the pen and looking at her sister. "I thought father said to stop with the letters" Tara said, taking a seat on the edge of Paige's bed. "I haven't written to him in six months, I've went long enough" Paige said. "Your royal highnesses" Atlas said from the door.

"What is it Atlas?" Paige asked. "Your father just wanted to double check and make sure you two were still coming to his dinner tonight" Atlas said.. "tell him we'll be there" Tara said, "Where is Apollo by the way?" "Sitting in your room reading a book last time I saw him" Atlas said, leaving the door frame. "I will be back down later. He careful with that letter" Tara said. She walked back up to her room and opened the door to see Apollo reading a book like Atlas said.

"What are you reading?" Tara asked. "Some book I found on your shelf" Apollo said, "you like to read huh?" "It's the only thing I can do" Tara said. "How do?" Apollo asked, getting off the armchair. "I have never felt so trapped in this palace. But when I open a book I could sit in that chair for hours and it all goes away" Tara said. "I think, if Paige wasn't going to become the next ruler of the country, you'd be pretty good at it" Apollo said. "Oh please. You're only saying that because you're my squire" Tara said with a smirk.

"I'm saying it as friend" Apollo said. "Well as my friend, I need your help for something to wear tonight" Tara joked. Apollo laughed and sat back down in the chair. "Green or Blue?" Tara asked, turning to Apollo. "It's pretty obvious don't you think?" Apollo asked, spinning the metal ring around on his middle finger, "The green one." Tara set the blue one back in the wardrobe and walking behind the divider. She slipped the green dress on and Apollo's jaw dropped.

"Told you the green one looked good" Apollo said in a weak voice. "Fucking hell" he thought. "The zip is stuck" Tara said. "Allow me" Apollo said, putting her curly hair over her shoulder. "I didn't realise you liked rings" Tara said. "Well they help me when I'm stressed" Apollo said as he managed to get the zip unstuck. "You have the same tactic as Paige" Tara said, turning to him. "I would suggest you go get ready as well" Tara said.

"Well I will be back" Apollo said. As soon as he closed the door Tara let out a sigh. "I actually made a boy go weak" She said to herself. About ten minutes later after Tara put her makeup on, Apollo came back into her room. "How could she get any prettier?" Apollo asked himself. "So?" Tara asked, "what do you think?" "You look amazing Tara" Apollo said. "What's that around your neck?" Tara asked, raising an eyebrow.
